In the worst case, trying to extinguish it with water will result in a huge explosion. The best solution is to simply put a lid on the pot and wait for the food to cool down. Never ever use Water.

@@dollchuu It's a fabric ice fishing hut that is strapped to a snowmobile to prevent it from blowing away. Someone could walk out there and steal the snowmobile if the keys are in it. Could be a friend as a prank but the way they took off and he rolled out seemed pretty real as if he knew it wasn't a joke.
