the little rant about free will was great, i liked it alot. subscribed.

:) Thanks. I actually do such things relatively often. But they aren't always as easily digestible as this one.

That was much deeper than I expected :) Anyways, about first episode versus the rest - I personally tend to watch more of the series at once, some time later (may be even year or more). So even if I discover first one, I'll follow on it way later. And I very rarely upvote or downvote anything.

Just an observation: I don't think all of the liquids also have conductivity figured out. You or CowsAreEvil (I forget which) did a demo to point out that liquid water will cause shorting of electrics. I don't know if liquid CO2 would have the same effect (IRL or in game). So unless there's additional bits to make electrics sealed against water, this wouldn't work anyways.

Maybe CAE did this, but it's also in this video somewhere - kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2jLaKWfnM1-ecU - And you're right, I didn't even think of this: Can't use an electric pump to remove liquid ... while submerged in liquid. At least I ASSUME that for now at least, all liquids in Stationeers behave the same in this regard.

21:25 WHAT!!! How even? Did it heat up and turn to gas? Door still broken in regards to liquids then.

Well, as I surmise later, the world logic based liquids aren't the same a per-block in-world liquids, instead they must be a terraforming mechanism. And those are still in development. Also, I'm sure we're not gonna have them (e.g. world liquids as opposed to block in-world liquids) because there will be a terraforming expansion for such things.

An interesting challenge but i think it is viable. You gave up because atmo sensor doesn't show the liquid CO2 but i think the reason is that the co2 is liquid and not a part of the atmosphere. I dont think they anticipated if someone wants to play subnautica in stationeers. You can get the liquid into pipes with passive liquid drains evaporate and use gas Co2 from there. Also i guess the game is programmed to equalize atmospheres in doors with the atmosphere that the last piece is put in. so the room pretty much didnt see the outside atmosphere and equalised to no atmosphere. That is why u lost the liq Co2 in the room. I would like to see myself if that is the case but i cant try now and I want to see if this challenge is viable. For conductivity I dont think CO2 is conductive because in a save i have in mars i put a liquid drain and it pretty much drains liq Co2 from pipe into some chips but it didnt cause any problems yet. If it is conductive it will be annoying but i also think you can insulate them by frames and since the rooms are pressurised by themselves when u put walls you dont need to insulate interior cables.

All of that may be true, but I rather think the "world" room liquid I had here are not the same as actual in-world liquids. And the tablet does show the amount of liquids in the box you're in - but in this particular case, it showed there were no liquids. I still think it's just an incomplete experimental thing that we'll eventually enjoy when the (probably expensive) terraforming expansion comes out.

About the first episode getting more views, your europa on the whim is very long videos, which arent being watched in one go. (speaking for myself, but could be applied to other viewers) also your set up with background music, and overall playtyle are very stream-like. not video like. If you were streaming this, with life chat, i feel like you would gen more views. but as a stand alone video... you are just boring to watch when you just play the game.

PS. I do enjoy the fact you actually posted this.

Uh - but how does what you said fit with the (assumed) fact that the E1 is well received?

Just my two cents, I like "boring" long form play videos and listen to them while working.

People chime in to check what's going on in this new series, but then they don't find it interesting and stop watching following episodes.

Stationeers is great game and both it, and content creators that utilise it, need as much publicity as possible.
