So basically despite passing, my examiner did not provide me any feedback at the end of the test, which I thought was highly unprofessional. Some of the minors I have no idea about the full details and what to improve on. The examiner said everything was on this report sent on the email as follows: Control - Steering, 1 Signals - Correctly, 1 Position/normal stop, 1 Progress - Appropriate speed, 1 Reverse right - Control, 1 As you can see barely any detail given here.

In my view, i think it's better to keep whole length of video in continuity like before (or may be can post both versions) it used to be rather than just placing only the clips where faults are there; I think placing complete clip will help viewers/learners understand the rule and regulations being followed during the mock test and will help them improve by viewing them.

I did this on my third try on my test. Just because of a cyclist. It’s a joke the fact I couldn’t even overtake when the cyclist wasn’t letting me overtake. I failed because I had a lot of cars behind me. Finally passed forth time

Sometimes examiners are really strict and they'll fail you for something that should be a minor. Part of it I think is because they have some kind of quota to meet, but also sometimes they're just miserable gits.

My first test, I failed last May was because the examiner intervened. I tried to overtake a stationary bus for a second time after a first successful overtake. I think the examiner pulled me over, let them pass and make me drive behind the bus and I failed as she took my wheel and braked. I think knowing i failed then, (and it was on the way back to the test centre), I did another serious fault, I entered a roundabout in the wrong gear and stalled so overall, I failed with two major faults and somehow, 12 minors I took the test again two months later, passed with three minors. You can do it Luccia! Those roundabouts are damn scary! I hated them! I still do. I watched your videos prior to my test and learned a lot from other peoples mistakes like they’re leaning too. A “what not to do” so I was pleased when I passed mine and I still watched the videos and assess what I would have done in those situations, like the overtaking of the cyclist 🚴🏻‍♀️

I got stuck behind a cyclist the other day and probably would've done the same thing and I've had my license for a while but just getting back into driving and would have been similarly risk averse overtaking in those gaps that she did. Until you went through the tunnel her distance was too far to even contemplate an overtake, but safe following distance... Then there was a cycle, lorry, and oncoming car which kinda hinders things. Not sure what she could have done tbh but there were 5 serious in total, so that one wasn't a dealbreaker

I would say she can improve with braking, when she slowed down for that tight corner clutch went down first. So she was coasting whilst braking then gear down clutch up. It's all a bit of a calamity doing it like that which is probably why she said she needs to improve. Brake first luccia until you've slowed right down about 10mph then clutch down 2nd gear or first if tight clutch up and away. I normally find you can go into any corner in 2nd as your nice and controlled and you see you need 1st you can just go into 1st as your foot is on the brake.

There were a few, but she was too far behind and too slow to react and accelerate. If she'd got a bit closer and been ready to "floor it" she could have easily passed without issue. It takes practice though, and you might not ever encounter a cyclist on your lessons.

I have finally passed my driving test, not saying finally because I had to repeat but because it was cancelled by DVSA and then rescheduled twice and then it was set to a date that I would be traveling in, so at the end it took 1 year, from March 2022 to March 2023 to do the test, passed with only 1 minor since I have been driving for more than 15 years in my origin country.

I think it just goes to show that there’s needs to be more teaching around how to deal with cyclists, especially since they are so common now. People are either too reckless or too cautious around them. From watching, the first safe gap I saw was after that bridge/underpass. Ample opportunity from that point onwards.

Yes, definitely. I had this exact same problem on my driving lesson yesterday. Apparently if I'd got a bit closer to the cyclist I would've been able to overtake, but the road was full of awkward islands and I had loads of people overtaking me so it didn't feel safe. Better a slow driver than a dead cyclist.

i honestly did not see any opportunity to safely pass the cyclist, there was just a single lane per way and plenty of traffic from the opposite way to make the overtaking dangerous. I think this driving instructor might not be a bycicle user and considers overtaking close is no big deal. At least in my country you need to let 1.5 m of distance between you and the cyclists when overtaking correctly.

You only have to show that you know how to drive on your own and drive legally Asking examiner which way should you go should not be fault, at least not serious one, or not unless you attempt to turn right in left turn only lane Examiners do tell you at the start of the test that if it is silence you are going forward or following road marks or signs so I am not exactly sure if he will fail you, that is most likely up to him

Unsure but I had a similar situation on my test and asked the examiner and they said 'whichever is safe' which clued me in to all the one way no entry signs 😂😂

I feel like it should be a minor for observations in that situation. She missed the markings on the road, the blue arrow and then asked when directly facing a no right turn sign. That's pretty atrocious. It would only be a major if she tried to turn right though.

But it should be when the road markings and multiple signs make clear that you can only go one way and you still ask, because you're obviously not paying attention, and if someone wasn't there to tell you not to turn right, would you? That wouldn't be legal, would it?

If she asked left or right she probably would of failed. I would of called no fault or a minor for clarifying left. Minor mostly for the signs being obvious but she didn't try go right or signal righy so wasn't a major.
