On the way out the amount of trolleys in the corridor was astonishing. The number of ambulances outside was bad to. An ambulance would take 30 minutes for aspected heart attack. Partner took me instead. Turns out I have Angina.

If they start treating hospitals like this, where do you think all our skilled doctors and nurses are likely to go? They won't stay and be berated by "Politicians" which last i checked, wasn't a skilled job nor does it truly contribute to society. We need to adopt a Constitution like America has. How, and I am going to say it again, HOW shaming anyone or any organization will help improving? Demoralizing people who work and are in a little of cases over worked will only cause more caos… From 1997 with Tony Blair to 2010; we saw borrowing growing up in a massive scale, we saw multi-billion projects being scrapped, we saw spending, spending and early 2000s hospitals were crammed there were no beds for a flue pandemic during winter. If NHS is a mess right now, all those years of Labour in power contributed for this system to also be destroyed, right? We cant hide facts, there is a lot of overhead, mismanagement, a lot of waste that need to be controlled, BUT shaming will not helping with these issues!

Reverse NHS privatisation. Funding an increasingly private health system is like filling a bucket full of holes. It means more management/consulting/administration/legal/accounting & non clinical costs. It means more fragmentation. Resources bought in smaller batches at higher prices, instead of at the national level. It means, less pro-active preventative care. It means more complex late stage care.

This is unfortunately the kind of unhelpful idea that leads to low morale, bullying and cover-ups rather than transparency and improvement, although I do understand that performance needs to be monitored. The NHS is not "broken" and so much of it does work very well. That best practice needs to be shared so all hospitals can perform at their best, including - and most importantly - improving morale. This starts at the top and filters down. We all know about the underfunding and about the difficult choices that need to be made regarding the value and availability of new drugs and treatments but we must at least get the basics right.
