Drag car catching wasn't invisible; at least, it looked pretty clear to me that there was part of the frame or body very low behind the left front wheel that was catching. Every time that green part of the body got to the edge of a bump, it would catch.

The big truck was definitely a nice change of pace. And while I can kind of see why some people may want a stricter enforcement of the crawler rule against it, the truck _was_ on a bit of an uphill incline when it couldn't get past 20mph, so I personally understand being a bit lax on that. Either way, it was super fun to watch! :D

The first thing he lost of the dump truck was the giant piston that lifts and lowers the "Bucket" (that's what the back of the truck is called). And he lost two wheels, not one.

A machine commonly referred to as a “loader” uses a bucket to load material into a machine commonly referred to as a “dump truck”, which typically come equipped w/ “dump beds”. Everyday for work I drive & operate a boom truck, or what some might refer to as a “cherry-picker”. It’s also capable of hydraulically dumping its bed.

I think that the reason the truck was overrevving so much and the clutch kept overheating was because the transfer case was on with the front driveshaft gone. If you unlocked 6 wheel drive, it may have survived better. Was a fantastic show though, can't wait for the next one.

The transfer case being engaged with the driveshaft gone doesn't effect the clutch at all. Since the transfer case is a physical coupling, switching it off is basically like removing the front driveshaft and putting it in the back seat, so turning it on or off would make zero difference in this situation.

I cant get over how much heart and soul that truck showed in this bout. It was so passionate. It refused to accept defeat until it's final breath. It trucked on until it could no more. The sheer resilience of that beast. It's scary. Their is something intimidating about something so domineering that won't give up. Tremendous performance.

That whole period of time after 18:53 is when the crawler rule should have been smacked down as it wasn't able to drive and took far too long to get to 20mph. The rule should be amended to say that the vehicle must reach 20mph in 20seconds on level(ish) dirt or tarmac, otherwise it should be disqualified under the crawler rule.

Kinda interested in how the front driveshaft broke and it was still working. A truck like that has a long driveshaft from the transmission to the power divider and then a short one from the power divider to the rear differential.

I would like to suggest redoing the B-Series, for a few reasons: A: This mod has had a huge update and has added a few things, notable 4 and 5 axel twinsteer variants. B: I would suggest doing the "default" twinsteer variants, because some of the upper end models have a multi-ton counter weight on the front, which I'm sure didn't help it on those large front end landings.

I know it is always fun to see the cars go farther and break into many pieces but in my personal opinion, I think the car should be kept inside the white lines or have to drive back to about where it left the road and resume. You can take any tone with me you like but a fair race is you stay in your lane in drag racing and in short foot races and in-car races don't you get penalties for not staying on the course. Be fair and you know jump the jump even if the jump is a bumpy road.

the entire time you drove the dump truck after the tire blew i kept shouting "shift damnit" 25:00 "i dont know how it got over rev damage" pretty sure pegging the limiter the entire time since the tire blew did it 25:25 "I dont know why the clutch is unhappy" while giant ass truck is hopping, spinning up the tires, then slamming into the ground, shocking the driveline and especially the clutch, cooking the clutch more with every bounce

I just ran a short body d-series (the Ford Bronco looking thing) and it went like 15 laps! It was a custom one I modded some, it had off road suspension though set much lower then the standard setting. It actually went about half a dozen laps as front wheel drive and only one rear wheel (which was next to useless as the tire was punctured).

I don't think the differentials were the issue with the B series truck. On pavement it was leaving skid marks so it looked like the frame was so bent in the front it caused it drag on the ground

Why is the B Series now #4 when #5 and #6 went farther, according to the numbers listed? Am I reading this incorrectly, or is there some adjustment made to calculate the distance?

The distance indicator is not perfect to as it runs from the info given by the speedometer. When wheels or driveshafts start acting up, the speedometer can and does show speeds much more than actual. For example, the prerunner hit a max speed of 2,800mph at one point, while crawling. Failrace judges the lap count and actual location of failure on the list.
