Palm nut is used mostly by pacific islanders for chewing. They usually mix it with lime and tobacco/chewing tobacco. At 10:45 the white eggs are balut and the purple one are called salted eggs. Thank you for featuring my cousin's store. I was thrilled when I heard her in the background. 😊😊😊

Love the Asian markets! I’ve discovered some of the most wonderful things there. One thing to consider for the prepper pantry is soy sauce! Lots of people stock up on rice, etc., and don’t get anything to season with! And soy sauce lasts forever - I buy it by the gallons. I just discovered an Eastern European market in my city as well - found a ton of tinned cod liver (delicious but also worth learning to like if you haven’t tried it). Cod liver is an excellent prep for its nutritional value.

time stamp: 12:14 - kabocha squash is amazing! goes great in soups, you can also fry pieces of it and dip it in honey, my personal favorite is to boil it until very soft, drain it, then sauteeing onion, garlic then adding the kabocha into the pan with the onion and garlic and mashing it with some heavy cream like mashed potatoes, finishing it with mixing in some fresh parsley and green onion, so delicious, and it's great in baked goods like pumpkin bread.

You can certainly find some good items and some good deals in Asian markets and Hispanic markets as well, do not avoid other nationalities markets. For instance: Some of the best fresh fish can be found in Asian markets. I learned to appreciate both being married to an Asian woman who shopped everywhere. I was introduced to Goya products before our past President was in office and Goya increased sales by millions by publicly backing President Trump and the left tried to get them cancelled and it has the exact opposite affect they intended.
