Fairlane RestoMod: Episode 4 - Floorpan rough install

Floorpan rough install. There is still some finessing to be done when I get to the underside.. mostly pinholes and thin metal.

Before I get too much scrutiny, I am by no means a sheet metal expert. I wanted to do butt welds to minimize appearance of the repair, so this was first for me. I will defiantly be paying for my lack of skill later when I fill all these holes from the back.
The passenger pan was done the the hard way. I discovered Fitzee's Fabrications just after I did that pan and it is a game changer. His method is FAR superior to the hard way. I still did not master his method, but it is a quantum leap from the first pan. In fact, you should stop watching this and watch all of his videos!

Perfect. Keep up all the hard work it will all pay off with that first burnout! I have a 1967 Fairlane. Had it since 1989. I put 175,000 miles on it since then for a total of 264,000 miles. I will probably have to do much of this to mine, one of these days but for now I will just drive the wheels off of it. Lol

Hey Great job! You had the balls to start it and finish the floorpans. The biggest step is to just start. i did the same thing 3 years ago. never looked back and i love it!!

You know where to get the sheets metal that hold gas tank.

I do not... that is likely a part that would need to be fabricated. You may be able to start with a mustang patch panel, but the bit should be easy enough to scratch build.
