I have an amazing story abut the hospitality of the Banff Springs maybe too long for here. But if you have a chance to visit at Christmas Time do so it is the best! They do a whole day based on Santas departure from Banff Springs on Christmas eve. Every where in the hotel are activities to do with Christmas. making and decorating cookies and wrapping your gifts and crafts to give to Mom and Dad you can wrap them and take them with you. Just amazing The meals and the service is just amazing. I have taken my whole family there for Christmas many times, one year there were 29 of us and My Hubs and I were upgraded to the Royal Suite OMGosh!!!! amazing as well. I can say I am disappointed in the modernization of the place but its still grand. Go check out the Royal Suite video someone filmed it .

Thats awesome, we really enjoyed Banff Springs, were trying to do all the Canadian Pacific / CN hotels on the route. Not specifically related but Montebello in Quebec also does a really awesome Christmas show with Santa and their huge "centre of the atrium" fireplace if you have have a chance. We'll definitely add Banffs to our bucket list! Thanks for watching and commenting Donna, Happy Travels!

This place is incredible! Spring must be beautiful. How was the weather in the summer?

We went at the end of July and the weather was amazing! My sister went at the beginning of July and it was cool and rainy (she wore lots of layers). However because it was calving season she saw a lot more wildlife than we did. When are you thinking of going?

Is the gondola open year round?
@TravelingFlamingo5 жыл бұрын
It is, I believe it can close during the winter for very severe weather but its generally open and the very large 3 story building at the top of the mountain is open as well and has restaurants and a heated patio. Thanks for watching Heather Travels!

Maybe a bit of scripting would hell avoid all the confusing wording of things, like "Fairmont National Park". Nice video besides that, though.
