I also used to plan events for the Board of Education, every summer booking speakers and our food for the events. I think I would be a very good fit for work out there.

Wow!! Love It!! Only wish I was a bit younger and not retired to do this. PS, I'm heading back to Banff Spring Hotel in the fall of 2023. Hope to meet you and stay safe.

Very good video I like the growth opportunities. I am retired, but I am a jack of all trades. I have worked with horses all of my life. I have my bus license. I have my safe serve and my food safe certificates. I’ve worked in construction and renovations. I have my firearms license. There seems to be a lot of opportunities for me out there. It’s so beautiful. I’ve been thinking about coming out to work and one of the lodges cooking or trail guide.

I worked at Banff Springs in 1983. I didn't get the perks you got. Plus I was an entry level summer employee so things were a little different then what you describe. On top of that while I did meet people, unless you partied drank etc, or you wanted to find Christ, making friends wasn't easy for me. Finally, the staff housing you illustrate is new-the staff housing I recall in which I stayed was substandard. FYI: At the time it was CP Hotels and not Fairmount.

I was actually so close at moving there to work at the fairmont when they were seeking workers for the summer and doing the hiring event through indeed but I passed up on the opportunity and now I kinda regret i didn’t apply to go 😢. Nice video though and I appreciate the insight to how working at the fairmont is like.

If there is another opportunity to go there this year I am hoping I get hired so I can jump on that and see what it’s like working at the fair mount in the 🏔️ mountains, the plus side is I would definitely be very active living there cause of all the hiking I would be able to do and all the fun activities I’m sure I would participate in

I worked in housekeeping and the kitchen. It was a dream job to work in the Rockies which I will cherish, the jobs themselves no.

Hey there, do you get to choose your own accommodation? Like if I only wanted to share with one other person is that possible?? Also is it the same benefits of you work at say lake Louise Fairmont hotel instead of Banff Springs? Just trying to figure out which will work out best for me..thanks in advance x

Hi! You can choose between shared staff housing (this can be in a room with up to 1 or 2 other people) or you can also live alone in a one bedroom room! I’m not too sure about Lake Louise benefits.

What time are jobs normally posted or when do they start? As I would love to work there but can only work from the end of June onwards. Do you think this is too late?

Hi Ryan! You can live with your partner, but unfortunately you aren't allowed dogs in staff housing! Other options would be living down in town (which is significantly more expensive) or Canmore is always an option as well but then you will have roughly a 20-30 minute commute to work! Hope this helps!

Hi there! Question about salary. How much you can earn per months for work in hotel? Minimum and highest salary. Thank you😊

I worked there in summer 1983. I think back then it was over $3.00 an hour. You got deductions for room and food.

Hey girl! I gotta a question about the staff accommodation did you have to bring your own kitchen supplies? I’m starting there soon and I’m quite nervous on what to bring! Thanks🤍
@jodimclean663
@jodimclean663 Жыл бұрын
Hi!! How exciting :) yes I brought my own kitchen supplies - that they don’t provide! Although they do have a second hand room in staff housing area called the Repeat Boutique that usually has kitchen supplies you can take :) I can’t guarantee they have stuff available at any given time but usually it will become available when others leave staff housing and need to give away some of their belongings! Hope this helps!
