I can already say to that it's not always the bike who teach you some things. It's in you , if you are in the mood to learn, every bike ... everything will be interesting . Hope that it's understandable cause I'm french don't know I to pass the message even in my language. Beautiful farewell ❤️

Did you try other bikes beside the ripley that suit the Edmonton river valley? My short list is the ripley, norco optic, transition spur and obrea occam

I had test ridden an optic (which felt amazingly plush but not the best peddling platform when compared to the af) and had also short listed the izzo but the AF became available first. If you're interested I have a ride along first impressions video (ripley vs canmore) that covers some of my feelings on the bike. To that I'll add that it really is amazing in edmonton. You really don't need more bike here, I've genuinely been loving it... but if you frequently ride more aggressive mountain terrain, I'd seriously consider going mid travel (occam is probably a good option, I gave it a good look when revolution started carrying them) or even up to a 150 (since I've been loving the dw link the ripmo is an obvious choice), obviously depends on your style and where you intend to ride the most often, but I just got back from Squamish and wouldn't have been mad about an extra 20 or 30 mm out back, but I still had an absolute blast on the stock AF.

@@casestudymtb this year I went with a hardtail. Norco torrent with modern geo numbers and a 150mm fork. It is fun. But looking into the full suspension for next year. My old man back will appreciate it I think. I do plan on going to Canmore and moose mountain by Bragg creek. But 95% will be in the river valley. I watched all your videos. Cool seeing the same trails I ride. Good content, glad I happened to find your channel when I was searching for ripley videos.

I appreciate the kind words! Man the torrent looks like a wild bike, super aggressive geo. Hardtail or no, that's a lot of bike, definitely gonna handle whatever you throw at it! Hope enjoy it this season!
