I'm honestly on the side that Ritchie's demon is the demon king in Future Pat's time-line. Well, Ritchie defeated his demon last season (I think that's how he's got his final form, right?) And Brandon didn't which is why his demon was able to take control when he was fighting his evil counterpart. What if in Future Pat's time-line, Brandon defeated HIS demon instead, and Ritchie didn't so his demon took over, killed his evil counterpart and went on a killing spree. Or Brandon died in Future Pat's time-line due to Brandon's evil counterpart and it caused Ritchie to go completely insane and let his demon take control. (You saw how he was when his brother was missing for a whole year.) That's just my theories.

I mean because past jakey changed the timeline like a lot like for example we have dragons in this timeline when we did not previously a lot of things changed for example the Alamos thing didn't happen in the future timeline but happened in the past timeline and I'm pretty sure the whole godslayer things didn't happen in the timeline either meaning if the demon King comes and the three gods Slayers aren't able to keep their gods slayer magic in check and their gods run free they could easily fight off and probably kill the demon King but that would mean a even bigger threat

I really don’t like the whole demon king thing it’s confusing came out of know where and it just one more thing that Can ruin the games
