I wanted to ask because I'm currently thinking about getting a subscription to one of these boxes. Do you think either of their six-month subscription plans are worth it? I know they're quite a lot of money but wanted to know if you think what's in the boxes are worth that price.
@BookRoast3 жыл бұрын
Heya! It’s really up to yourself! 🥰 but I do know that for the box price, usually a special edition with that many exclusive features and a signature is normally a similar price from other places too not to mention the items themselves. But of course each box is a surprise so you don’t know if you’ll like it or not. I’d suggest watching a lot of unboxings and seeing if you would have been happy receiving these! But for the price I think they are, I think people forget how much exclusive books cost alone 😅💜
@Agfan-ws7hy3 жыл бұрын
@@BookRoast Thank you! I was thinking about how it comes with an exclusive book, but my father kept making it seem like the exclusive book didn’t cost that much when they can be higher up on the price scale. I have also watched a bunch of unboxing videos and have liked what’s come in them so far, so I guess it would be worth it. Thanks for the help!

@shreyabooked93093 жыл бұрын
Princess Rani? Rani means queen in Hindi. Princess Queen. It sounds incredibly odd. I wish authors would think about these small details when they write Eastern themed books - and also that authors would acknowledge that people like us (non-native English speakers who know the original language) will also want to read these books, so this would not go unnoticed. I would hesitate from picking this book up simply because Princess Rani will be so irritating to read, for me, every time. (So sorry for going on a random rant under your beautiful video, G!)
@anidot903 жыл бұрын
The authors are Indian though. And there are people named Rani. I mean Princess Queen is weird (and I too picked up on it) but the name itself (Rani) isn't.
@shreyabooked93093 жыл бұрын
@@anidot90 - @anidot90 I agree that there are people called Rani, but can you imagine a royal family naming their child Rani? If the street urchin had been called Rani, it *might* have made sense, it could have been foreshadowing her actual royal blood or whatever, but it's strange for the princess to be called Rani. Imagine this story in Hindi (coz the characters are obviously Hindi speaking) - Ek raja aur rani ki ek beti hui, and unhone rajkumari ka naam rakha... Rani. Rajkumari Rani. It's weird as hell, but it's my opinion of course. For me, this name really breaks the "willing suspension of disbelief" necessary to enjoy any story. For others it might not matter, of course. (Also I looked up and the authors are not Indian, they're Indian origin which is slightly different. I'm not trying to shit on them for inauthenticity or whatever, everyone is welcome to write Indian themed books as long as their cultural references make sense.)
