Of all of the peoples of the world, I have found it is the Irish who are best at celebrating the life of a soul passed on. The very best at living in the shadow of death. Even in the same room. We will all miss Shane, and the talent he brought to bear on the world. Even those like me who never met him. He touched us all in some way. In his legacy he will never be forgotten. Perhaps he looks down on us now, and with Kirsty sang along with Glen, Lisa, and the fine ensemble who played for him on his way. I'd like to think so. RIP Shane, but oh to live, not just be alive.
