You are a blessing, thank you so much. I wanted to say that your prayer is my favorite part, but then, I thought no, it's the devotions at the beginning, and then as I listened and you finished, I realized it is the spirit of God working through you and the whole podcast just warms me with a peace I can't explain. I must say your knitting is beautiful and so inspirational. Thank you.

Thank you Rhonda for taking the time to bring us your devotionals. I find them uplifting and thoughtful, God surely is working through you. I'll be praying that shows me where He wants me to start working on order/balance in my life so that His light shines on me and others see Him in ALL things that I say and do. God Bless!

Hi Fran! Thank you- I'm so glad you're enjoying the devotionals. God will lead you to where He wants you to start. He is so good to do that. And I really like your aim-- so that His light shines on you and through you to others. Excellent. Blessings and Peace to you!🥰

Hi Rhonda, i want to tell you 'hello' from Savannah GA and let you know i have been watching you for a few months and I appreciate your podcast so very much! And i mean both the knitting and faith, it is very encouraging and helpful to me. I was raised in the church, and when I was about 35 I strayed very badly into new age things, and it wound up tearing my life apart in ways i am still trying to put back together. I am 60 years old and rededicated myself to Christ last year. Sometimes i feel like I forgot everything I knew growing up and starting all over again with building my Biblical knowledge once again. So thank you, thank you! I started knitting about 5 years ago after garment sewing for many, many years, and that is both good and bad, as fitting a garment in knitting is much different than working with fabric. It took me some time to wrap my head around bust darts! In fabric you take that little triange of fabric away at the side seam, and in knitting you add the fabric in the front. Fascinating! And do good for my aging brain! Just wanted you to know you are appreciated!

Thank you, Melanie, for sharing a bit of your story. I'm so glad you found your way back to God. Even with feeling like you are starting over, it doesn't matter. What matters is that you are back in the fold. Welcome home! I'm glad if the podcast is helping you. God is so good. I have wanted to get into garment sewing. I've thought about it for the past few years--even bought a couple of books, but haven't taken the leap yet. It seems much more intimidating than knitting.😅 Thanks again for your kind words. Blessings and Peace to you!🥰

Dear Rhonda, thanks so much for your inspirational podcasts. The song that starts and ends your podcast is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. And it's been so true in our lives. God's faithfulness carried us through 50 years of married life, helped us to raise our lovely four daughters and now with our five grandchildren as well. Thanks for praying for all of us. Enjoy your Bible studies - you'll do well for sure. And your knitting is exquisite. Well done. ❤

Thanks Jennie, for your beautiful comment. God's faithfulness is something we can ALL sing about! The song, by the amazing Sara Groves, is one of my favorites and was the immediate first choice when I was thinking about a song to use as a theme song for the podcast. It really is beautiful, and so true. May the Lord Bless you and your precious family with many more years of His love and faithfulness!🥰

Rhonda, as always, I was so pleased to watch your podcast. I love your lesson on order and that God wants us to be detailed. Instantly, several things sprung to mind that need to be addressed. Thank you so much for this reminder. I love the colors of your half and half wrap. They look beautiful with your warm complexion. The Vega is turning out magnificently and I am interested to see how the Gloam goes. I was thinking of making a Gloam for myself. Good luck with your OT Bible course.

Thanks Stephanie, for your warm and encouraging comment. I'm happy that you're enjoying the podcast. I was blown away when I noticed how much order and detail God used in setting up the place of worship and the method of worship and where each tribe was to camp around the Tabernacle. It got me thinking and I knew I needed to bring more order into my life as well. Thanks again and Blessings to you!🥰

I had never thought about maintaining order in our homes and lives honors our Lord. I do know when my house is clean and organized my state of mind is much happier. Now I’m making the connection.😆 That spring project bag looks very familiar. I love my bag! I took it on our trip. It’s large enough to keep my sweater project. It reminds me of you.💕 This is very belated but...I hope you had a wonderful birthday and did something special to celebrate🎉❤️🎂 Enjoy you biblical studies course. I know you must be extremely busy. Im so grateful you make time to make these podcasts.

I have to work on things and get a little better at this.😅😅 I'm so glad to hear you're enjoying your bag. I'm reminded of you too, when I use my spring bag; knowing that you have a matching fall one.😊 I still plan to make another fall version to keep. But really happy to hear yours is serving you well. Hello Rhonda. Order I feel that is a work in progress always with me. This year I’m slowly very slowly working on getting my house in order. One day at a time. Your cardigans are going to be stunning. You will enjoy them so much. I’ve been knitting for a very long time and I still struggle with a good fit. Sometimes my garments turn out with great fit and sometimes I just have to rip it and do something different. Have a wonderful Easter and enjoy your next course. Bless you and prayers 🙏

Thanks again and have a wonderful Easter celebration!🥰🥰

Another GREAT post!! I am reading through the bible for the first time and talking about God's specific instructions: not to wear garments made out of wool and linen mixed...hoping that doesn't apply to modern day blended yarn! :) Enjoy seeing all your BEAUTIFUL knitting!! The Gloam does look a bit big, will be interesting to see how it looks once you have one of the sides on it.

Hi sister! I really look forward to your notifications. I know I'll get a good meal as soon as I start listening. If your vids are a bit longer to wait for, that's fine. It's more important that you put your education ahead of these podcasts. I always told my (hungry) kids - do you want it good or do you want it fast. Well I'd rather have a teacher that is drawing closer to the Lord to teach me. It's worth the wait.

Happy Easter, Rhonda! An orderly God, what a blessing, what a truth! I have been dealing with some folks in my life (loved ones & family) that have no order and have placed some burdens on my heart about their struggles. It is hard to help someone that does not see an orderly God in their life. Even those I know that say they have faith, their struggles would prove otherwise, as they look to humans to solve their problems & they seldom want to get their own 'house in order' and lean on God for strength. This was a great devotional, especially during this holiest of weeks. Christ is Risen!

Hi Patty! I'm so sorry for the delay in responding. This one slipped by me. Sorry about that. I'm glad you enjoyed the episode. Yes, it is hard to deal with those who reject God and His ways. It's heart-breaking, because we know the help and the hope that is available, but they refuse to accept Him. I know the struggle well. Praying for peace and a resolution for you and those you love. God is faithful and He hears our prayers. Hope you enjoyed a wonderful Resurrection Day celebration!! He is risen indeed!!🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

You’re a beautiful blessing to us all! Thank you, Rhonda. Best wishes on your upcoming class. I look forward to hearing your messages and seeing your knitting progress. If you swatched and washed the green Roam sweater, you should be able to put the project on scrap yarn and measure it against your swatch dimensions. If it’s beyond the 20 in desired ease, then you will have your answer. 😉🙏💕

Thanks Heidi, for your encouraging words about the class and the podcast. I'm so glad you're enjoying the episodes. Thanks also for your suggestion about the Gloam sweater. Are you saying to wash what I have of the sweater so far and measure it to compare it to the swatch? Blessings!🥰
@WoolRevival
@WoolRevival 5 ай бұрын
@@faithandknitting3994 not necessarily. Count the stitches on your swatch. Measure them. Count the stitches on the finished piece. Do the math to figure out how wide your piece will be, and then how wide you actually want it to be. Example…. 20 sts = 4 inches of a wet blocked swatch. Your project is 100 sts unblocked. 20 goes into 100, 5 times. 4(inches), 5 times equals 100 (stitches). Your project piece should measure 20 inches after it’s wet blocked. 😉

I’m sorry I don’t remember what the stitch count was of your finished piece. You’ll have to adjust that formula to your stitch count.
@faithandknitting3994
@faithandknitting3994 5 ай бұрын
@@WoolRevival Heidi! Oh my goodness! Thank you!! I did the formula as you suggested with the stitch count and the size works out to the size that I'm going for in the pattern! So I think I'm good with the sizing. So exciting! The knitted piece that I have looks really big, but it's hard to tell what a 20" positive ease should look like while it's still on the needles. I'll just keep going with it and see how it turns out, but the calculations do seem to show it should turn out the size I'm aiming for. Thank you again!!🥰

Thank you for this topic!! We moved into our house 1.5 years ago and we still haven’t organized everything yet. I have a 4 year old, 2.5 year old, and now a 9 day old! I am constantly stressed out about the mess and clutter and it’s so frustrating because I don’t have enough energy or time to get to it. This video reminds me to pray about it and also to understand it’s a good desire to want things to be decluttered and orderly!

Hi Victoria! My goodness, with 3 children that young, you should not be stressing about organizing or decluttering. You have your hands full already. And God knows that. As you pray, He will guide you and give you the time and energy to do what needs to be done. Your first priority is taking care of yourself and your family. God will lead you. The time for decluttering and bringing order will come. Enjoy your children and take care of yourself. Blessings and Peace to you!🥰

I came across the Clutterbug and started small-one cabinet at a time and have a couple more drawers in the kitchen. The Vega looks very nice but I think your Gloam is going to be too big for you. It looks like you could do a fourth less stitches and it still would be big, like that previous sweater that you ended up frogging. I’d see if you subtract 1/4 of the stitches and see what size you come out with.???

Thanks Elise, I haven't heard of the Clutterbug. I'll look it up. Starting small is a good idea, as not to get overwhelmed. Thanks also, for your thoughts about the Gloam. I think you may be right. I'll have to see what I'll do about it. It is supposed to be an oversized sweater-with 20'' of ease, but still... it's hard to know for sure. Thanks again for your suggestion.🥰
