Damn Jim sounds really disappointed with how the album turned out. I wonder what the album would have sounded like if he'd been at the helm of the song writing

From what I've read, Jim was almost impossible to find for a long time while the others were writing songs. They wanted his input but he was procrastinating as far as getting back into the studio. They had to play tricks on him (even threatening to break up) in order to get him there. It would explain why they basically wrote the album as a 4 piece.
