Good teaching Sir Brother Cory 🙏. We do not work to get saved. We should do good works and live righteous because we are saved by the blood of Jesus 😊😊

You are very right Cory! Sin unfortunately is a part of our life (As Paul states and dealt with, as do we everyday), HOWEVER, understanding that we show our obedience by striving to do what God desires us to do produces the fruits of the spirit! Many Christians (or so-called) will be quick to point out any sin that we may be dealing with, not realizing that many of us are already saved, but are being sanctified! Peter (along with the other disciples)was a fisherman who may have cursed, fought, or did other non-Christlike activities when he was called by Lord Jesus to follow him and was a prime example of how God sanctifies his people for what he is preparing them to do. He denied Christ three times, but went on to become the Rock of the Church and we would never call him out like we do other Christians for sinning. David committed Adultery and Murder, however God never left him or forsaken him after repentance. We need to understand that we all SHOULD and MUST be striving to do good works for God BECAUSE he has saved us through FAITH, not the other way around. Faith is the cause and Good Works and Obedience are the symptoms. May God bless each of you and may your works continue to be multiplied in accordance to your Faith!

NEVER GIVE UP It's easy to look at our current place in life and think that it can never change. The voice that says we should just give up seems to raise its volume ever so slightly as the pressure is applied. Your health, finances, and family can all be going in the wrong direction, and yet there is still something deep within calling you to keep moving forward. What happens when you refuse to give up in the face of certain failure? Something amazing transpires, hope springs out of hopelessness, manifestation comes in the most dismal of places, and your joy is restored. Joseph could have quit when he was in the pit, but the voice of the palace was too loud in his spirit. David could have given up when Saul tried to kill him but the crown was shinning too bright in his future. Don't allow the present circumstances of your life talk you out of the incredible future God has for you! Now is not the time to give up!

@@TheJesuslover122would like to know your definition of “Works”. Because as the verse you quoted says “Good works prepared by God before hand” the door that accesses these works which God has prepared is Jesus Christ. So any works outside of Christ are your own works….this is self-righteous works….these are dead works….these works are nothing but “dirty tampons” to God to put it bluntly (Isaiah 64:6). The works God prepared is the desire that God has given us as the result of repentance and faith (Philippians 2:13). Essentially, the fruits of the Spirit….mainly love for the brethren and advancing the Kingdom under the influence of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

When Ephesians 2 says that we aren't saved by that of ourselves, it's talking about what "we" think will save us. Matthew 7:21-27 is a great example of that. To say that we're saved by just having faith is just not right. As James points out, our works demonstrate our faith. If we confess faith in Christ, but continue the same lifestyle that we had prior to confessing our faith, then we don't have faith. Rev 20:12-15, let's us know that we will be judged according to our works. Rev 22:12-14, also confirms that. The works that save us, are us keeping God's commandments. Nowhere does it say that we'll be judged by faith alone or faith at all for that matter. We have to understand that faith is where it starts, but if we have no works to confirm our faith, then we're not going to be saved.

When we come to God by the grace of God through faith he makes us alive spiritually who were once dead in trespasses and sin. God delivers us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of his son. That's just the beginning our conversion our Ephesians2:8 salvation event. Everyone who has been converted has this salvation event in their past and cannot lose an event. When Jesus returns judgement our resurrection, that's also a salvation event and hasn't happened yet it's in our future our final salvation event. That's why it not only matters if we believe remain faithful to Christ. It also matters how we live our walk our righteousness now in this lifetime. Has nothing to do with keeping Torah laws or working for anything. After our conversion salvation event we abide in the doctrine of Christ....and this is the testimony that God has given us eternal life. And this life is in his son. He who has the son has life, he who does not have the son of God does not have life....whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the father and the son.....eternal life is in Christ not in ourselves. As long as we abide in the doctrine of Christ we have life in Christ now. When Jesus returns judgement our resurrection, that's when we are resurrected unto life and have life in ourselves like Christ....for as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order Christ the firstfruits afterwards those who are Christ at his coming....and as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgement, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for him he will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.....many can only see the beginning our conversion salvation event but cannot see the end when Christ returns judgement our resurrection final salvation event. Everyone will face judgement when Christ returns according to their own faith together with their actions how they have lived not just faith alone. There is only one final judgment when Christ returns, same final salvation event for everyone. Salvation is an event like your birthday not a possession and eternal life is a possession that we actually receive when we are resurrected unto life when Christ returns....marvel not at this for the hour is coming in which all who are in the Graves will hear his voice and come forth those who have done good to the resurrection of life and those who have done evil to the resurrection of condemnation....Jesus said everyone in his kingdom now will not enter the kingdom of God in the end....the son of man will send out his angels and they will gather out of his kingdom all things that offend and those who practice lawlessness and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their father. He who has ears to hear let him hear....many can't hear understand, they cannot see the kingdom of God or scripture pertaining to entering the kingdom of God in the end.....

Many will not enter the kingdom of God in the end because of lack of knowledge. Many believe they already have eternal life and no matter what they will enter the kingdom of God in the end, once saved always saved. That's not what scripture teach anywhere. Many just want their ears tickled.....when I say to the wicked, You shall surely die, and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity but his blood I will require at your hand. Yet if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity but you have delivered your soul....all can do is warn with truth that must turn from wickedness to live and then not on me whatever they do, have delivered my soul.....

Salvation is a lot like marriage. The vows one take brings one into a marriage and it’s the same with salvation. We accept what Christ done for us all bc we can’t save ourselves. After salvation and many of times many continue in sin bc of habits and ignorance of God’s word. The same with marriage, there’s those may struggle with that husband or wife you’re now living with and you were used to being alone. This is the kicker, Christ said if you love me keep my commandments. Good works just like in a marriage shows how much you love Christ as well as your spouse. Love is a ACTION. It’s doing what you know what’s right or righteous despite how one FEELS. Perfect example is when Christ was in the garden struggling within Himself to go to the cross. If He done what He was FEELING He wouldn’t have and there would be no salvation for the human race. The same a spouse forgives the other for adultery. Doesn’t want to but they choose to bc the offender repents. Just saying here don’t base salvation on your works but do work to show your love for Christ as well as one another.

This is confusing. I need some help understanding I can continue to sin as a believer because I am a sinner? Is this not the same thing as saying there’s a demonic spirit inside me causing me to sin, to escape accountability for my sins?
@Ark-777Ай бұрын
He isn’t saying we should continue to sin. He is saying that with genuine faith in the Lord comes works that glorify him, but that doesn’t mean we wont sin as believers or neither do we need those works to be saved. It is simply the spirit doing a work through us even though our flesh wants to do the opposite. This is a solid biblical view.

Jesus said a kingdom divided cannot exist. Faith was God’s plan from the beginning….the people began to cry out to God in Genesis under Seth’s line. The Prophet Abraham “believed God” and righteousness was imputed to him. His faith triggered an action because of what God did inside of him. Faith without works is dead and works without faith is futile.

9:38, idk if I can agree with that. Yes it all starts with faith thanks to the Grace of God. But after that we have things to obey. According to john 3:5 we must be born in water and in spirit, so that means we need to repent and be baptized and seek God for the gift of the Holy Ghost. Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38. QUESTION 17 minutes in you’re talking about someone being torn up by their sin. My question is Esau was torn up and cried but there was no repentance for him? It’s passages like that where I get confused. I came to faith 40 years ago and I feel like I’ve got nothing to show for it and I examine myself all the time, it’s just this past decade I’ve been feeling overwhelmed by all the evil and I’ve been questioning myself a lot. I look at the parables of the soils and I don’t see 30 fold. I used to feel His presence and I felt like I was growing, but what if that was just Him trying to reach me? I don’t want to share my story but I’ll say I feel like I’ve let Him down big time and even my patience is seeming to wear away. 😢

What it is saying is that we are free from sin. When it says we cant sin it is referring to the eternal consequence of our sin. Scripture says “The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law”(1 Cor 15:56)We are no longer under the law as a believer so we no longer have eternal punishment (death) for our sin. Not completely, no. We are told not to believe the spirit, but to test the spirit to see whether it is from God. If we judge _only_ by the workmanship that went it the (1) planting of the seed, or (2) the growth of the tree, or (3) the production of the fruit…we can be deceived. This very thing has happen to me because I did not understand that ultimately…it is the spirit behind said workmanship that will determine if the seed/tree/fruit from that workman is clean or unclean. The totality of The Word is what gives complete revelation!
@rontwyman9286Ай бұрын
@BermudaGrass I should have been more clear and said we should judge a person by the fruit of the spirit, and I believe there is a difference between a person's work and a person's fruit we have nine fruit that we can compare a life a person's life to and tell whether they're walking by the spirit or not😇
@BermudaGrassАй бұрын
@@rontwyman9286 There is no _biblical_ difference in The LORD’s view between a person’s workmanship and a person’s fruit, because they are both based on the _spirituality_ behind the workman. That means we should not believe every _spirit_ but test the _spirit_ (love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control) behind the workman, to see if that spirit is clean or unclean. If unclean, then those nine things listed above are being faked by someone masquerading as an angel of light. The _spirit_ behind the worker therefore _automatically_ determines the cleanliness or uncleanliness of his/her works (seed planting, plant growth, fruit production) - not the harvest.

Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people-none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. It is lowering Gods standard of righteousness, taking the glory off of Christ and what Jesus did, living a perfect life, and making it to where man saves himself. But if righteousness come by the law then Christ is dead in vain. Jesus died in vain if you can keep the law "I dont practice sin" and be saved, no the truth is that the flesh still till the day we die and depart from this body to be with Christ, the spirit is what is sinless but the two are at war. Paul said I do that which I hate. Jesus said the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak

After our conversion salvation event we abide in the doctrine of Christ....and this is the testimony that God has given us eternal life. And this life is in his son. He who has the son has life, he who does not have the son of God does not have life...whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the father and the son....eternal life is in Christ not in ourselves. To those who eagerly wait for him he will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation....many can only see the beginning our conversion salvation event but cannot see the end when Christ returns judgement our resurrection final salvation event. Everyone will face judgement when Christ returns according to their own faith together with their actions how they have lived not just faith alone. Only one final judgment when Christ returns same salvation event for everyone. Salvation is an event like your birthday not a possession and eternal life is a possession that we actually receive when we are resurrected unto life when Christ returns.....marvel not at this for the hour is coming in which ALL who are in the Graves will hear his voice and come forth those who have done good to the resurrection of life and those who have done evil to the resurrection of condemnation.....Jesus said everyone in his kingdom now, those converted made alive spiritually by God in the beginning will not enter the kingdom of God in the end when Christ returns judgement our resurrection final salvation event.....the son of man will send out his angels and they will gather out of his kingdom all things that offend and those who practice lawlessness and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their father. He who has ears to hear let him hear.....many can't hear understand, they cannot see the kingdom of God or scripture pertaining to entering the kingdom of God in the end......so it will be at the end of the age, the angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just, and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.....

The He is the groom of Israel their savior and king. Immanuel told everyone who his bride is, how many times did he say he came for Israel and how many times did he call another people his? He said there is a people that would join themselves to his people and would be saved. "youre saved by works, but if youre really saved you will have the works" that's just a false gospel Romans 4:5 says “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” So the one who does zero works yet believes in Jesus shall be saved. These works salvation teachers are not saved, but Every little boy or girl who believes in Jesus shall be saved

Ephesians 2:10 "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Yes we should do works after we are saved, we should do good works clean up our life, etc. but thats not salvation, salvation is Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ Acts 16:31 people quoting Ephesians 2:10 using a false bible version are missing this, and those who are the least in the Kingdom? guess what, they are still saved.

Corey never said works by their lonesome was salvation, he specifically stated saved by faith and grace - then the works of The Spirit should naturally occur overtime. At no point did he claim or implicitly teach “The Bible says we are saved by works _alone_ , that we _may_ be able to boast before people”…it never happened anywhere in the video.
@TheJesuslover122Ай бұрын
Of course you can be saved and nothing outside changes, Because when we get saved it is the Spirit that is born again, quickened. but we still have the flesh. That is why the changed life gospel is wrong, because its not some automatic thing where you get saved and then ok that means you now automatically do all the right works, or God makes you do the right works, wrong. If don't we walk in the Spirit we will fulfill the lust of the flesh that is why it is possible for someone who is saved to go back and live the same exact way they did before salvation if they get out of church, quit singing hymns, bible reading you will commit the same sins, because its your flesh that sins, not the Spirit.
@BermudaGrassАй бұрын
Respectfully, it seems like you might struggle with encoding the full message someone presents. Experiencing a visibly changed life overtime as a result of walking by The Spirit is biblical, what is unbiblical is demanding someone have a visibly changed life immediately. If the latter is being preached then yes it is incorrect, but if the former is being preached (which Corey is doing) then it is correct.

Jesus said a kingdom divided cannot exist. You can't serve God in the kingdom of God in the spirit and serve the devil in the kingdom of darkness in the flesh.....whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the father and the son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine do not receive him into your house nor greet him, for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds....go ahead eat you won't surely die isn't the doctrine of Christ. Works play absolutely no part in salvation. Works are profitable for Man (Titus 3:8) and James 2 is also about works justifying you before man, not God. Loving God Does Not save. Following Christ Does not save Discipleship does not save A person is saved by believing on Jesus (John 6:47, Acts 16:31) Works also dont prove you’re saved (1John 5:13) A person can know that they’re saved because the scriptures say so; not looking at your own works. And hypothetically a person can have no works and sin it up and still be saved (John 3:18, Rom 4:7-8) The believer is no longer condemned and the Lord does not impute sin. And there is NO difference biblically between “practicing” sin and committing one single sin. Even in the greek “practice” means simply to do something and you should know that Corey.

If a child doesn't love his parents, are they no longer his parents? no, that's not how it works. Salvation is a one time event no conditions except Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, no following commandments. when we don't follow commandments, then we get chastened punished in this life but God doesn't kick you out of the family, he doesn't say ok you committed some type of sin, well you are not my Son anymore. No thats not how salvation works, salvation is a one time event, one moment in time passed from death to life in the twinkling of an eye.

@@Clod-HopperBefore coming to faith we are not children of God so that analogy in the first comment is not applicable. A child of God has the spirit in them which does a work through them. That spirit testifies of Christ and causes us to love God because of his loving mercy for us. Thats why the scripture says we love him because he first loved us. The scripture itself says if someone claims to love God but doesn’t love their brother is a liar and the truth is not in them.

More deceived, it's not faith alone that we are saved, not a man's faith that is. The faith of God alone saves. As for how His faith alone saves, it is by believing God. Believe God in all things. You must neither God in all things, bit if you do not continue in His goodness, you to will be cut off from the olive tree. If you do not believe, can faith save you? No, nor can it save you if you are hearers only. Nor can it save you if you walk after the flesh fulfilling the deeds of the flesh One more thing, you are not saved while you remain in your body. This is why we groan in expectation for the redemption of the body on the last day. If we had what we hoped for, what need of hoping do we have? As we are saved, BY HOPE. If we are saved at this very moment, then we no longer have to believe, as it is written, "We are not of them that turn back but we believe UNTILL the saving of our souls. Hebrews 10:39 The Church throws the baby out with the bathwater when it comes to works. The baby works and the bathwater works of the law. Paul teaches that the hearers of the law are not righteous before God, but the doers of the law to do is work. Romans 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. 14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: 15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) James concurs: James 2:21-24 King James Version 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. 14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? No, the faith of God can not save him because he does not live by the will of God. He does not have the heart of David: Acts 13:22 King James Version 22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

He is saying that if someone truly believes in Christ the Savior, then they have received The Holy Spirit. Proof of that results in natural, non-performative works. He is not saying that someone should practice to performative works, which is why he introduced the “Lord, Lord” scripture.

And the bible says that at the judgement seat of Christ some peoples works will be burned up all their works are wood hay stubble yet they themselves will still be saved, yet so as by fire. so faith alone justifies and works dont "prove youre saved" or "well I think if youre really saved you will do the works" ok, but the bible says to him that worketh not but believeth. "Yeah but James 2" right James 2 works justify us before man, profit man, but not God, that has nothing to do with justification before God.

Corey already added that caveat when he specifically said you shouldn’t be able to claim 20-30 years in the faith yet not have at least some type of natural work in that large of a timeframe. That wasn't even possible for the Israelites in the old testament. Jesus fulfilled the law for us.
