I suggest using the concentrator attachment. It helps to keep you from overheating youre hair. Its like the right amont of a barrier from your hair to the blow-dryer

My hair is the same texture as yours mines might be a little thicker. But my curls are tight in the back but the front is lower curls then the back of my hair.

My hair turned out beautifully, however, one thing I noticed is that you did not rinse out the Nexxus instant conditioner and I wonder why you practice that. Years ago, I used to be a cosmetologist and one thing the instructors stressed was to always follow manufacturer's directions for usage and, if they are not followed, using a conditioner formulated to be rinsed out after a few minutes, can damage kinky and curly hair, and accumulate on the scalp. Anything in excess is harmful to our health. It’s all about striking the appropriate balance. The same may be said of absorbing too much water into our hair.

I wondered about this too. I used to use rinse out conditioners as a leave-in and over time my hair became mushy and it broke off easily. But maybe this works for her hair.
