Timber Hawkeye, Author, Buddhist Boot Camp (buddhistbootcamp.com): Praised by thousands around the world for his intentions to awaken, enlighten, enrich and inspire, Timber Hawkeye prescribes gratitude as medicine for people to heal themselves from the inside out. His message invites the best version of you to resurface, inevitably leading to the true meaning of success (being happy), and better health (mental, physical, emotional and spiritual). In an ongoing effort to eradicate society's ever-growing sense of entitlement, which he considers nothing short of an epidemic, and replace it with a sense of appreciation for each breath we are given, Timber shares mindfulness-enhancing techniques that anyone can relate to and implement in their daily lives.

Every time I see something you've written or hear something you've said, I feel a step closer to 'getting it', a little bit further on in my quest to find the meaning of life. Inspiring seems to be your default setting - which is very inspiring in itself! Thank you Timber!

Wow--thank you for your message. Keep spreading your word on Gratitude. The world will be a much better place if we are more grateful for what we have already. "Your beliefs don't make you a better person, your behavior does..." is profound today, although it should be common practice.

I'm honestly like AHHH!! I'm at a loss for the right words, So LOVE this video and very compelling. I just wrote to someone sharing my take on the world and how people aren't nursing their gift of life. This speaks exactly what I've been thinking for quite sometime. People are out of tune with themselves, not listening to their own crying song, change the channel to upbeat music and take part in your own organization.

I could feel him! I am there where he was.... hungry dying and uncomfortable with continuing life in the dark when ive been awaken.... its unbearable to live amongst drones or the unenlightened.... its hearbreaking... But there is work to be done and changes to be made.... I agree we must listen to our friends our family and life around us for opportunities to heal to share to inspire to awaken! Ted now has a new fan if he's bringing guest on like this..... I needed this today!

Excellent talk -- very heartfelt and real. Gratitude is the beginning. After that we need to help deal with the structural prejudice that effects a huge percentage of the world's population. In America most of us have lots to be grateful for. In other parts of the world, however -- not so much. One way to be happy is by helping others, and most of us really do need to do more.

Every day that we arise from the bed is a day to be grateful for... to get one more is a treasure! When we stop comparing ourselves with others and start interacting without judgement we will be capable of affecting everyone's life by compassionate sharing. There will always be some who continue to fear life and will take... take... take, but even they could come out of their golden castles if no one looked in their direction with longing to have what they think is of value. Everyone struggles in some way, whether rich or poor. Once we recognize this we can begin to treat all our fellow being with a more open communication. If we don't we will go the way of the evolutionary failures and someone or something will replace us as though we never mattered. "I" or "mine" will always define defeat, but "we" describes all progress on this planet. Let's make more "we" and let Sit Happen!

Great talk, but I was noticing something strange about Timber's voice. He sounds either very nervous or very motional. I was also thinking that maybe there might have been a problem with the recording of this talk. I've seen Timber speak before and he is always pretty confident sounding, gentle but confident. No attack, It was just an observation I had.

He posted this comment about this video on Facebook Feb 2021 “You can tell how nervous I am because it was the very first time I spoke in front of an audience, and about something so personal about which I'm obviously still very passionate. We were given 10 minutes to imagine what a perfect "City 2.0" would look like, and some of the speakers talked about public transportation, regenerative energy, sustainable agriculture, and all of those things are important, I just wanted to take a time-out and get a little more intimate about the actual people's attitude required to even consider talking about making those changes... If you haven't watched this before, here it is.. in all my nervous about-to-cry glory LOL.. I've given hundreds of talks since then, and I still sweat in front of audiences... it's just what happens when an introvert takes one for the team”

He doesn't speak of financial equality, he speaks of happiness for all. And shows that it has nothing to do with money. If you read that he is trying to make rich people give away money, then you are not hearing what he is saying.

Insulting an idea is quite cowardly and even a little silly. If you don't like an idea move on to the next one, or if you smell something fishy, educate yourself about the idea or even try it on for size. But there's so many idea's, over 20,000! So why not pick a few that spark your interest and make it your goal to try and improve the world, after all isn't that Ted is all about. :) As little as 2 minutes of meditation everyday can improve your mood and thought process. Happy meditating!

I don't know. While it's important to be grateful for what you have, I don't think that would ever bridge a gap between the rich and the poor... that sounds like an awful way to subdue the masses of people who don't have enough to live off of while rich people have more than enough and aren't generous with their blessings... Just my idea. Great talk though, love a lot of the points here

Good thoughts, Krystle. In my own experience, if the (monetary) wealthy were grateful for what they had and reached the point of, "I have enough", then there would be room for a shift in their heart. This could bring us closer together and bridge that gap of which you speak. The most important shift for me came when I started to distinguish between, and separate, my wants and my needs. May we continue to connect through our inner-net
