They have an extremely good sense of balancing the compositions. Always building it up slowly, adding layer after layer, making the crowd go crazy and then, before it gets too long, they go into a little break again and build it up again. Awesome!

Maxi has the ability to fit in as just-another-piece-of-the-faithless-pie in the studio; often only rapping over 10~20% of the material and sometimes not featuring at all on a track. Then, in the live gig he is charismatic, imposing and band leading; He fits two different roles in two different situations perfectly and it takes a unique kind of character and self confidence to get that right. Then you realize this is true of many successful dance/club music acts of this era; Faithless, Underworld, The Prodigy; they all have vocalists that are 'part of the kit' in the studio, who blossom into magnetic heroes of stage craft for live gigs.
