I doak my dishes with water and a bit of dish soap, if I think I might use the dishwasher. That way you won't have to scrub them so much before putting them in.

A dish washer will clean dishes properly if you just rinse off dishes before placing them in. There is no reason to get upset about a common mistake when using a dishwasher. Of course she can do whatever she wants but some people do not know this. My comment was not meant to insult but to inform.
