This is fascinating. I’ve started really distrusting doctors. They seem to prescribe first and listen never. They have such a tendency of not explaining any potential side effects or even other options for healing. Curing through diet and exercise seems to be the furthest from their mind. I’ve gotten so much better relief from some of my issues just by doing research into various benefits of herbal and mineral supplements and experimenting with how those make me feel.

I really appreciate that you shared your journey!! You have a great perspective on medicine (western and eastern) and how a person can and should choose what works for them, even if it's a little from each school of thought. I think many people will benefit from what you have to share (me included!), and I'm looking forward to the new content 😁 My sister has GI issues and I have endometriosis, and I want to dive into alternative treatment options for us both. Thanks again for your vulnerability 😊 God bless.

I just never want people to think I’m “anti” western medicine cause I’m definitely not! I just want to emphasize that there are so many other more amazing and natural ways to heal common health issues!😌 Thank you so much🫶🏼

I had those symptoms as well and I found very nice church that focus in the Health Message. The Seventh Day Adventist Church was suggested to me by a nutricionit and I am very happy to know them. We have zoom meetings during the week, we have service on saturday and we keep the Sabbath.

So sorry to hear that you have been going through this and that so many healthcare professionals seemed to so readily dismiss what you were sharing with them. Sending good vibes and wishing you all the best as you continue on your healing journey 💗 I recently read Unconventional Medicine by Chris Kresser which was what really made me open my eyes to the way the healthcare system runs today (in America that is). It isn’t a very dense or in depth book, but presents some interesting concepts and statistics. It even has some cool charts/diagrams throughout that help with understanding if you’re a visual learner. It is definitely a great introductory book for anybody that wants to learn more about the topic but might not have much foundational knowledge. And even for someone that does already know a little, I think most could take a thing or two from it. I definitely recommend! Lots of love

Long time viewer of your book content and I love the incorporation of these health videos! I know absolutely nothing about holistic medicine but I find it fascinating! And I just really like Faith’s content in general and I’m so glad she’s on this healing journey 💜

Love this video!! I so relate as I’m also on my own holistic journey to heal from health issues. I think it’s such a testament to God’s provision that He’s given us an abundance of healing things from the earth, and it makes me sad that we often take those natural medicines for granted as a society (and also have no education around it lol). I think the effort that you’re putting into yourself is amazing, best wishes for the rest of your health journey! 🤎🌱

That’s so strange, in Brazil one of the first things that any doctor would suggest is a endoscopy even before suggest any medication. They would not even give medication without proper exams. I thing that maybe this is a cultural difference. Hope you get better!
@faithsreadingthings8 ай бұрын
That is super interesting! I think it might also just be my specific area maybe? Idk.. By the time they even suggested those procedures, it was more of an “we can do this but idk if it will show anything” type of things so I just didn’t want to keep putting my body through those things if it wasn’t going to help you know:/ eventually I will get them done though because it is really important to rule out all possibilities no matter how unlikely!
@17ehg8 ай бұрын
@@faithsreadingthings yes, I totally understand! If the doctors do not give any kind of certainty that these exams would bring answers, it is normal to ponder if it is worth it to put the body under the “stress” of the procedure. Especially those that have a anesthesia.

I was thinking the same thing. I live in NC in the US & I’ve had so many of these same symptoms & the first thing my primary care doctor recommended was an ultrasound of my liver, stomach & gallbladder. When those results weren’t helpful, I was scheduled for an endoscopy. I’m so sorry you’ve had such a hard time. This has been helpful for me as I also stumble along a painful GI journey
@jenniferm.21427 ай бұрын
I wish that was the case in the US. I’ve had so many doctors just prescribe meds with maybe five minutes of face time with me and zero tests done. It really makes me distrust doctors.

If you haven’t already, read the book “The Body Keeps the Score.” I’m studying to be a clinical mental health therapist & we read that book for our intro to Trauma class. The connection between our mind and body is SO powerful & that book really highlights the research that has been done.
