Mistlefoe was so much fun! I loved that one. Fake dating isn't necessarily my favorite trope (though I'm not opposed to it) but I have a few of these on my TBR. I think my main issue is that I'm really only interested in speculative romance and like you said, you don't see as many of those. Sometimes see it in historical romance though.

@@KristinKravesBooks I'd recommend some of the newer ones that have more queer and BIPOC characters, some of the ones from the 90's are a little tougher to read now. I'm currently reading A Lady for a Duke and it's already lining up as a new favorite in the subgenre.

I know I’m late to the game here, but What the Hex by Jessica Clare is also a witchy fake dating story. It’s book 2 in the Hex series and book 1 is also really good, so I would recommend reading them in order (though I don’t think it’s strictly necessary).

Ooohh this is definitely a hit or miss trope for me, but I trust your recommendations blindly so love this video! Especially Anita Kelly's books and Mistlefoe are high up on my TBR! I personally just read book 3 in the Bright Falls series by Ashley Herring Blake, Iris Kelly Doesn't Date, and that is one of my favourite fake dating books now! Up there with Kris & D'Vaughn and Honey and Spice for sure 🤩🤩

I loved Not the Witch You Wed and A Witch's Guide to Fake Dating a Demon! I've only read one book by Katherine Center, Hello Stranger, and only gave it 2 stars! I can't even remember it.

You still need to read Codename Charming right? It’s fake dating + bodyguard too! A bit of an outlandish set-up but made for the best moments. I keep meaning to get to The Bodyguard, it looks just as fun.
