Fake Eotech 552 Holographic Red Dot Unboxing and Review (also MFT minimalist stock)

Checking out this cheap fake Eotech 552 clone from China (and a MFT minimalist bootleg stock as well). It was sold as a "hunting" accessory, but this thing is only really acceptable for airsoft (maybe 22lr, but it would still probably walk). The feel and look of the optic are generally good, but it really is just a gimmick for decoration.

I have two of these 552 clones and am so pleased with its performance that I ordered two more. Mine holds zero fine and performs well with no banged up construction flaws.I have over 700 rounds through my AR15(5.56) and my AR9(9mm). I think you are under valuing this sight. It is no Eotec but it is a good budget priced scope and I like it!

I've had several budget red dots and they worked just fine..... People just trained to think because something cost less than what they got it's no good that's nothing but being a snob, same way a $300 gun functions the same as a $800 gun majority the time you just passing for a name and materials used

yea for sure, I have a bushnell red dot I use on a 10/22 another similar cheapie mounted on an AR and they hold zero fine. It's this cheap Chinese imitation junk 🤣

I havent shot any 5.56 with it on. It did live on my cheap .22lr until this past weekend when it didnt turn on anymore. I put about 500 rounds of 22lr through it, didnt hold a zero worth a damn even with the 22lr. Its a genuine piece of garbage and purely for decoration if you're into that.

yea it does, can get almost as bright as my holosun green dot on my g43. doesn't hold zero though, so useless on real guns

I just got one tobsee if I want to invest in a un magnified sight, why blow 400 bucks on something you dont enjoy using. If I like it I will upgrade.

yea its prolly trash on real steel... But for an airsoft loadout should be great. you dont need a $300-500 holo for 6mm bbs.

@@AS1140. Yea but from memory they moved the opposite way of normal optics. Also the adjusters were so loose that there is no chance it would hold a zero on 5.56. I shot 22lr with it and it held a zero until the next time I took it out and it was way off. Probably the crappy pic mount too.

I think the real.difference is this is basically a regular reflex sight with a laser reflecting off a to the above glass. I bet if the glass breaks on this the sight would not be able to be seen. Real Eotech "halographic" sights can be seen even if the glass is broken

@@devinpage3550 you can absolutely see through broken eotech glass. If there is any place where there is solid glass left, upper corner or whatever, you can still use. You can use this piece of shit with a broken screen lol. No shot. But that’s exactly what the original comment says dummy.

Oh yes. I got one of these before researching what actually a holographic sight involves!! Awful, cheap, junk. Red dot fakes are not too bad... but holographic copies- there is no laser, build quality is actually good - but it is just an led red dot with terrible parallax and tinted glass.

I have the real 552.A65 for my AR15, and just looking at this looks like a toy compared to the authentic one. Just kind of funny to look at found this entertaining seeing what kind of knock offs China can put out. Guess it’s cool for airsoft guns.

Another thing is it's horrendous to look at due to it's squarish hood and glass. While the real one on the top of the hood and glass is curved and looks sexy. I wouldn't depend my life on this garbage sight.

Well...yeah. it isn't the genuine article- but it isn't even fit for purpose. It is truly awful. Ok make concessions due to price - it won't be a holographic but an led red dot, but it's so bad the adjustments are reversed!! Nothing wrong with cheap clones etc; but when it does not function for its intended task - that deserves "whining"
