Thank you for the fantastic reviews! I've actually been looking for a handheld vacuum and bought the knockoff Milwaukee after watching this, since I already have M18 tools. You did not steer me astray! It works great! On hard floors, like my kitchen, it works about as well as my full-size vacuum. I also didn't realize that it came with so many accessories: crevice tool/brush, corner brush, two extension tubes, floor attachment, and upholstery attachment. It even came with an extra washable filter. What a value! I ran it using my 3.0 Amp M18 battery and after about 10 minutes of use I still had two dots on the power indicator. I did have to empty several times, but that's just because it was picking up so much.

We use the Makitas at the airport to clean smaller aircraft when a quick clean is required. The Makita Vaccuums are now almost 10 years old, if not more, and every single machine still works perfectly to this day. Each vacuum cleaner runs at least for 1 hour a day without any problems. We were all skeptical when they were delivered. We thought these would be a gimmicky vacuum for the average John Basement Workshop, but they prove they're tough.

Another home run with some new and thoughtful tests! I love the “nut test” and the crevice test. Because so many struggled with the large diameter of the heaviest nut, perhaps fishing weights would be better. That would allow for a smaller size, but higher weight.

That's a good idea. Going into it with a DeWalt 20v cordless tool and battery system already, I spent some time to research to find out which hand-held vacuum would be best for us around the house, and I came to the same conclusion with the exact presented DeWalt shown here, comparing other small canister DeWalt and other plug in type cheaper hand-held vacuums. This is a great unit and exactly what I needed. 2 years later, couldn't be happier and I agree with the points made here. The double bonus not mentioned is the vacuum comes with a full hose and attachment kit, the hose meaning you don't have to position the units weight uncomfortably to pick up waste ... the hose is easy to maneuver while you hold the unit comfortably. Not only would I recommend this vacuum, I would also suggest it be part of the deciding factor towards finally deciding on a higher volt, quality cordless tool and battery system, if a reader is researching that decision right now ... as obviously a single battery system for all tools makes sense. It can be a daunting decision, as once you buy in, your stuck there in that ecosystem. My vote is for this DeWalt 20v system. I now have a lot of pieces, and they have never let me down regarding design like this vacuum, power, torque and battery capacity and longevity. None of the pieces, nor has any part of the system let me down. I just wish it wasn't yellow ... not a fan of that. Its just ugly (opinion), but at the end of the day, the decision between this system and the Milwaukee M18 (much bigger tool selection) and Makita (lighter weight but more $) is partly personal and depends on trades or diy use case. For me, the DeWalt checked a couple more boxes, and this vacuum played a small role in that. Just writing this out to help a person in this decision, and maybe thats a video series (cause its more stuff to deal with than a single video) for Project Farm ... which is the best entire ecosystem between top brands, positives and negatives for each?

I've replaced the batteries in both my Dustbusters (there is a video on KZbin showing how) and they run like new. I like their large capacity and ease of emptying and cleaning.

I have that knock off Milwaukee, It will over heat as the filter gets dirty and I mean it will get very HOT fast!!! I took mine apart and modified it for it had better airflow across the control board and drilled more holes in the casing for air flow better

i have this Ryobi. It's so loud I almost don't want to turn it on and its suction power isn't great given the amount of noise it generates. I'm tempted to get the knock-off milwaukee but i don't need yet another battery brand in my garage.

Hey Project Farm. I’ve been following your videos for a little bit now working on my pickup, and you’ve saved me from lifter knock, carbon buildup and bad spark plugs! I really think you should test coolant leak fixes. For example, run the fixes through pipes with certain holes drilled in them to see how big of holes they can seal, then pressurize those pipes to see how strong the seals are. Test to see if they decrease the cooling ability of the coolant they are in, test the ones that say they seal head gaskets to see at what point they solidify into a silicate glass, other ways of testing would be helpful too but these are the most important criteria in my book!

That Knock-Off Milwaukee is impressive for sure. Airgunning has become a hobby for many people. Did you ever consider doing a review on different brands of pellets? A lot of times they don't fly true. Many times the skirts are deformed etc.

Great testing as always. This could be expensive, but your consistent and in-depth testing of ROBOT VACUUMS would be very helpful. Brands like Roborock, Dreame, iRobot, and Eufy are the most popular from my research.

I was searching for this review on this channel a few months back! As a fresh owner of B+D 20V, it was nerve-wracking to see all testing stages. I'm so happy now! Lol. Only thing I don't like on this device is extendable suction head. It retracts just with a light push against vacuumed surface.

I just watched your power bank video from 7 month's ago and it gave me a video idea. Testing the best usb-c cable i would only test the 140w and 240w cables to keep it simple. Durability and actual wattage throughput. And testing to make sure the PD 3.1 standard is being meet and that all required voltages are available to meet the 140w and 240w pd3.1 requirements.

I was looking forward to the filtration test that was done previously with the full size vacuums. This would prevent a vacuum from "cheating" to get high suction and air flow by reducing the filtration rather than improving the power. It would also be great to see some tests with clean filters and after a certain amount of dust is collected. thanks for the good video as always.

I got the Dewalt on a HD hack last holiday season for $72. Bought one for myself and my mom. I love the thing! Gets as much use as my 5 yr old Shark Apex for smaller jobs and does well. It is quite loud though. The battery definitely makes a difference too. Flexvolt or Powerstack and you can hear and see the performance. I would imagine the same holds true for the Milwaukee and the knockoff. My tool cabinet is 90% red and yellow. I just go for price and performance for each tool I find myself needing for jobs.
