The "authentic" one costs $24, not $200. It doesn't have a collector's value. It's not made in the USA; both are made in sweatshops in Asia. If one guy pays $24 for his Giants hat, and another guy pays 3 or 4 bucks a pop for his Giants hat, and to tell the difference you have to take them off and compare a dozen different points of quality against a snapback expert's reference, then which guy is the chump?

It's ridiculous really, its a cap, something you put on your head. I've had original New Eras since I was a teen and a fake one I got in Thailand. The fake one cost me 4 bucks and I use it as a knockaround, 3 years later it still looks presentable no damages. The notion that all fakes are crap is a myth, still depends on the quality of the fakes and there are really good quality fakes out there. If I see something i like I would get it regardless of fake or authentic. Get one that fits your budget, If you're fit and know how to dress it wouldn't matter.

Loving that Giants Hat! Fake snapbacks have a weird shape to them, the brim is typically very thick , colors are usually off, they fit funny, and the stitching is complete garbage. People are always saying "The stitching doesn't bother me." but once your shit starts falling apart, you want to get mad at the seller lol. Fake Jerseys, sneakers, and snapbacks have horrible stitching and that's a sign it's not going to last after a few wears.

All of my Mitchell & Ness are from Bangladesh. But I got a new snapback in the mail today and it's from Vietnam. I sat down and compared the two and they both was authentic with sewing, tags, stickers, bar codes, air holes, shape of the hat and the shape of the brim. People liked the Vietnam snapback more than the Bangladesh snapback. If that's the case then I have a perfect knockoff snapback cus I would be a fool to throw that shit in the garbage!!!

These Fake vs. Real videos are actually helping fakes more closer to the real ones.. your best bet is just to buy it from an authorized dealer.. I went to the flea market ( some guy was selling fakes.. ) and the fakes had almost every detail you encountered gone..

one thing he didnt mention is most fake snapbacks may look good at first but because the material is shit within 2 weeks the stitching may start to come loose, the colour may fade but most of all the brim of the hat does not stay straight.

I don't understand. I have a Mitchell and Ness that I just picked up recently. It has EVERYTHING else, including the button with the logo on it, the flawless stitching and you can see the letters on the inside. The only thing that's really off is that it says it's from Vietnam. I picked this up from a store, btw.

You missed another thing, the Brim on the fakes be Rounded. when they should be squared off. Thats why I only buy mitchell and ness for the square brims.
