I had a couple that weren't exactly obvious fakes, but Im pretty sure they were because of the different colored skin tones (one was pink and one was blue) and they had these big boots that looked like draculaura's or abby's

They’re a symptom of a wider issue. The IP theft is bad and thus I don’t buy them brand new. Just second hand when I find them. They’re also historically important but are seldom documented

In my state there is only fake monster high dolls they dont sell real ones so i have never had a real one😭

Those are the highest quality bootleg Monster Highs I've ever seen, even with the eye wonk! Then again, my bootleg doll average is "Dollar Store Monster High bootleg found buried in the sand at the beach", so... Maybe my experiences are a lil out there 😅

Because I have the reboot dolls! It’s also the materials and paint quality. Spotting fakes can be a bit difficult at first but it gets easier with time

These are amazing. In my country we had only horrible bootlegs. I had 4: Lagoona, Frankie, Draculaura and Clawdeen. They didn't have any articulation, almost no hair, generic bootleg high heel shoes and very skinny legs. Lagoona, Frankie and Draculaura legs broke off easily and I gave Clawdeen away. It was and still is funny to me that Draculaura dress had "Barbie" all over it.

There’s no actual Frankie doll referred to with pronouns in this video at all and, although I apply g3 they/them pronouns to g1 Frankie out of respect for non-binary people, g1 is still officially she/her according to all official media. ^^ I do see where you’re coming from but this is a bootleg illegitimate g1 Frankie doll
