just plugged this into my Tannoy floorstanders. wow, wow and thrice wow. replaces QED silver anniversary XT. cost about the same but is massively better with more detail, greater instrument separation, better bass control, punchier and more cohesive. it also looks really good. this is an absolute steal. can't imagine AQ are too happy...

@@k4syx I am immediately tempted to piut the 88 on my 2nd rig and go for the WEL signature biwire (same price as single wire dragons). have you heard the WEL ? Something like £75000 in biwire 4m LOL. Subbed Sir. Happy listening from Derbyshire's Peak District

@@k4syx so I am now listening to my new 4m elephant trunks ("WEL Signature" speaker cables) and am immediately impressed. notably better than "Rocket 88". more detail. more punch, better holography. tighter bass. about the same jump that the 88 gave me from QED Silver Anniversary XT (but a bigger price increase !). Just uncoiling them was worth the money. I was in stitches of laughter. they are gigantic. I also have full WEL interconnects and coax - I can't recommend them highly enough. Sound per pound is approaching infinity in high-end terms. whohoo

@@bongofury3176 The intersting thing here is that these scale same way as regular AQ cable ladder. Its not something that goes sideways, you just get more of the good thing across the board. When I heard K2 I went straight for Dragons right after I got some money saved for that purchase.

Could you kindly demonstrate how to repair the shorted DBS cable, as mentioned in your video?

Hi! I'm sorry but I've corrected all of them now so no material for video. Its just about removing thin strands of wire that are braided with thick wire signal lines on the side that has no DBS unit. So, remove the plugs, unbraid thin wires and spearete them from thick solid cores, cut or isolae thin ones and place the plugs back.

Love your reviews ! I have genuine AQ cables … interconnects … I tried AQ Wind and found it bright so tried a fake fire .. it was better and cured the issues the Wind had …so was it just a knock off Fire ? It was £130 as opposed to £2000 ! It is not as good as my genuine AQ Pegasus but it made me wonder what fake Thunderbird would be like at a fraction of the price. I don’t like fake. It I want a nice sound and it is tempting to try a fake cable again.

I have Thunderbird review coming, so it may help you. I don't know if these are fakes or what they really are. Solid silver is replaced with silver plated copper, but other than this - I just don't know.

lol! Wow and thanks again. This is so nuts. Good to also check if the plugs use non-magnetic screws and assembly parts. Cheap to change regardless. Looking forward to all of these comparisons, and now rethinking just about everything 😎

Yes there is. With DBS connected sound is a bit smoother, and without it its a bit more transparent. With my speakers I usually prefer to have DBS disconnected

@@k4syx it would be interesting to see the insulation material and the layout of the internal conductors match the original cable? also in the original cable, black insulation conducts electricity. What's in this fake?

@@legion2252 internal structure matches to original. Sizes, markings on the wires etc - the same. There is no "conducting insulation" inside :) Insulation is insulation, however there are additional wires for DBS +/-

Cables don't use batteries ! A very bad way to make rca xlr ? If you have XLR ..use it Single ended is 10db - XLR is 4db +. I don't think a battery can change that ? The only changes will be + - your pockets or wallet...

Because they are people like you and me, and normal people do not steal from others, nor do they lie to them. That's why they are genuine people, though their products are pricey :)

Perhaps it is a good idea to wright down what parts your system exists about. It's not clear now because of .... pronunciation problems. 🙂 Perhaps in every video do this. copy past small trouble and everybody knows now in what kind of revealing system you are testing this all. Greetings again. 🙂
