I think of all your Radiohead covers your style really adds to this one the most. What you add to the song takes it in a new direction. Don't take this as an insult, but the seeming threat of apathy in your voice makes the listener find his or herself in the position of wanting to get emotionally involved. The original lacks this world-weariness and it really works with it.

I went to a radiohead tribute concert a year ago and I loved what I heard but I'd be amazed to have seen you perform this piece, specially considering that there were around 15 different bands but no female singers. I have to add that the modification on the original song's chords and the echo in the voice are brilliant. I've been watching the video over and over again. This might be one of my favorite songs of all time. I never get tired of it and you make a wonderful rendition of it.

I have been covering this song on guitar since practically right after it was written and I really appreciated your unique interpretation of both the chords and vocal styling. I think you choose a perfect effect for your voice and the slight variations of the chords you used brought out your own special contribution to the song.

on all the earlier ones it was an effect amp, but with my new setup I have the mic going direct-in, no effects (same with the guitar) and I just added reverb in iMovie. I don't like iMovie. It seems to diminish the quality, but for now it's all I got. I'd be glad for any software/equipment advice Kris, but you told me not to ask, remember? ;)

thanks crimoz. yeah, I would use a pick, but the problem is this pickup. it's piercingly loud with a pick, muted and dull without. I chose the lesser of two evils.. we'll just all have to deal with it, till I get an acoustic-electric (soon.. for the love of god, soon)..

Yep, Mr. Chronic, it is originally in A, but I really think that changing the key of a song gives it new life...not that this song is in danger of dying out any time soon...I love it. However, what has always fascinated me was seeing how the same song suddenly sounds completely different when you move it up a few frets. The meaning of the intervals between chords actually changes and this alters the musical expression of the song...

Well, if you say so... You get nice clear sound though. Mine sounds nice till I compress it down. I don't know if it's iMovie that sucks or what. Do you mic your guitar or play an acoustic-electric?
