A bit of a new technique i discovered using cheap airspray and weathering powders to make a fake rust look on your models or other art projects.

Thanks for showing how you weather your cars. You mentioned putting rusty nails & water in a jar to make a rusty solution. Steel wool in a jar of water works well too.

Hi Rick, thanks mate happy to share what i learn with other model builders. Yes the other Technique is chopped up steel wool in a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% peroxide, didnt want to mention in this video, i made it a while ago and the fella that shared his videos on that technique may have got upset..

With the wire wool and water, would you add salt in too or is it just the wool and water...

J Griffiths the solution is half white vinegar and half peroxide, no water or salt. just mix the 2 together and chuck in some chopped up steel wool. to apply just dab it on.

I just use water but salt might speed up the process.
