Here is another thing that isn't mentioned when looking at the packaging. For the U3, A2 and V30 logos, check they look right. I got a fake and the U3, the 3 was touching the bottom of the U, and A2, the A was just an italic A, it didn't have the little gap in the cross bar, and the V in V30 was not the right shape, the serifs on the V were all blobby. The fakers just made them from fonts not the proper logo shapes.

My SD card, a Samsung EVO Plus 512gb card... made in Taiwan... black edges... reads 12mb and writes 15mb... The real card boasts 130MB. This is indeed a fake. Got my “1TB” sd card from Walmart but didn’t realize it was from a third party online member. I really don’t like how businesses are now having third parties get involved with their business. Bestbuy does it too. Only 2-3 games fit on it so can assume it is a fake. Going to try that software to confirm how small of a sd card it really is 🤦🏻‍♂️

Yep! Fully agree with you, it's somewhat confusing when I go on a website but the product is not being sold by the site I'm visiting an a 3rd party instead is. My Mac does pick it up since it has an SD reader and I have a microSD to SD adapter. I’m seeing online that there’s macports and can use F3 to check. Hopefully it works for me. Hi, I bought a 512gb micro sd card and everything looks fine as far as the card itself looks with the white paint on the edges as well as there being letters "AM" for it too be sold in America. But instead of it being manufactured in the Philippines, it was made in Korea and that's my concern if it's legitimate? It was made in Korea not the Philippines.

@@Andrew80_1 Mine works kind of fine after checking how many games I could download, which is currently at least 300 Gigabytes, but I also read somewhere that the actual size of the card isn't going too be like the actual advertised size for most cards when downloading games. What I mean by that is if you buy a *512GB* card then you will have up to like *496GB* or slightly less of storage to use to download. There's a bit more explaination as to why that's the reason, but you're gonna have to look it up yourself if you wanna know why. Also, if you think you're card is a fake be sure to look up guides online to see if it's the real deal and not a fake. There are specific signs that show if it's real but there's also an app that reads the card's storage to see if it's legit. I think it's called H2testw.

Hi. I am from Italy and I purchased a Samsung Evo Plus micro SD. Now, on the back, the model number ends in /CN and on the left is write "Made in China". And the edge of the micro SD is black. I sent a message to the seller explaining that I thought it was fake, but he said he didn't agree. However he said he would return it. I contacted Samsung, also sending the photos, but they said they can't see if the menory is fake. Not even asking if the edges are black or if the wording was potentially fake. So, I find myself with an SD card that I have no idea if it's fake or not. Can you help me?

Hi Nel! That is strange, Samsung is usually been very responsive in terms of customer support, at least that is what I been told by viewers. Well if Samsung can't help you and you suspect a fake SD card, I would take the sellers offer of return it and then you can buy again from another source, hopefully with better luck (I placed links in the description to the memory card I use if it helps), it so annoying we have to deal with the counterfeits out there. Always look at the bytes, example 127,831,900,160 bytes means your correct size 128GB card. Don't look at anything else. In tech calculations bytes will show different to GBs. If you have 512GB card and it shows 497,564,234,165, than it's NOT necessarily fake, but it's NOT full 512GB card you paid for.

Dang. I haven't tested on my computer yet, but based on all your tips ; I definitely got a counterfeit 1TB Samsung Evo. First of all my SD card didn't have any writing on the back. The actual micro SD card had black edges, instead of white ones. Not to mention that the micro SD card said it was made in Korea!
