The dad checking his son was a good move. My dad did something similar. I lived with my mom and finally realized I was bigger than her and she couldn't physically force me to do anything anymore and I let her know that. She went in her room, I was basking in my seeming victory. Until my dad came walking in her house and proceeded to whoop my a**. And then he left while saying "I live 5 minutes away and your mom can call me anytime!". I learned that day to not be too cocky as most anyone can make one phone call and get someone tougher than you to check you. Important life lesson.

Please tell me you got proper parents that taught you basic discipline. 1. Parents should not raise you like a friend, they should raise you like an authority figure. Raising a child should be a balance of discipline and being affectionate. 2. Parents should teach you basic foundations of rewards and consequences, and depending on what kind of child you are it could be "Physical", "Lecturing" or Both.

I remember in HS back in 2001 I referenced my friend's bf as Goku. It was actually a compliment because I liked DBZ but he apparently didn't and asked me in class "You wanna go to 'the flats' and settle this?" Being a bit of a smartass I just said "Why we gotta go all the way out there?- we're both already here." Dude got made fun of for being a tough guy rest of the year- everyone was calling him Goku knowing he wouldn't do shit.

I had this clown back in June who decided to start sh!t with me at the supermarket, now I'm 65, 6'2", about 230#, this wannabe tough guy was in his mid-20's with a bunch of gym muscles & all these tatt's, his two friends were pretty similar. I don't work out a lot because the years of living a hard life being in the military, then working in various machine shops & motorcycle shops over the last 52-odd years have taken their toll on my body. I'm not a badass, never claimed to be one either. But I'll die first before walking away from being insulted & disrespected, and not doing something about it. So when a douche like this guy was figures he'll impress his two buddies by first straddling my prized 1968 H-D Police Special, talking shit loud when I came out & told him to get the f*ck off of my bike. The clincher was him spitting on my bike, (my bike was originally my dad's work motor when he was still with the CHP. He bought it & a couple of others for a song when they upgraded to the cone shovelheads in 1970. It was his personal & he rode it damned near every day up until he passed in 2002. It was his baby & his pride & joy). Then he turned to me & shoved me backwards, with, "What'cha gonna do about it?" coming out of his mouth. I punched him as hard as I could one time in the gut, and then clocked him 3 or 4 times on his face & upside his head with my dad's old CHP helmet. He's crying his eyes out & bleeding from his mouth & nose, with several loose teeth added to it. He's screaming at me, "WHY DID YOU HIT ME MAN?! NOW LOOK AT MY NOSE!!" So I called the cops to come on down as I wasn't sure that his two boyfriends wouldn't try something & I'm not up to getting into that kind of scrap. I called a neighbor of mine as well, told him what happened & asked him to get a lift down to the store jut in case I was arrested for A&B on a congenital moron. Long story short, the cops watched the store's video, called it "mutual combat", so no one was going to jail. But one of them took the guy aside & told the moron that he was REALLY lucky that it wasn't HIS Harley the tough guy spit on, and even MORE lucky that I had managed to check myself & rein in my anger before I decided to really tune-up on the guy. Like I said, I'm not a badass, but I do have my moments, especially when it comes to my bikes. They laughed, cut me loose to head on home, and told Sparky that his crew should take him to the ER & a dentist as well, and be VERY thankful that I declined to press charges, because HE would have gone to jail for assaulting me, for felony tampering with a vehicle, and felony conspiracy to commit grand theft auto/motorcycle. Just another day in paradise here in the central valley of California... I was raised with my attitude, and I'll be damned if I'll take shit from some wannabe badass. I feel like I am a fake tough guy now lmao I was that kid who was in all the fights in HS people feared me, but I realized I only did it because I enjoyed the attention. I got into something recently, but I backed down from the fight. I was at my healthiest/strongest and coked out my mind and had 50lbs on him plus 3in taller. I was high on confidence I just didn’t want to fight. His brother tried to stare me down and I straight said, “ I understand, you’re trying to scare me, but I’m not scared” he said you should be and I literally chuckled After words I was laughing with my boys saying I would have whooped him.
