I had this happen with Dior Elixir. If the looks to good to be true, it is. The dupe is very close in every way, but I had samples of the real thing and there was a difference in the opening that was detectable. The dry down was very, very close.

it depends, the fakes are of several types.... as time goes by, they become harder to identify.... look a safety element.... the serial number on the back of the Chanel bottle must be engraved ... not with paint .... take a knife and scratch... if the paint comes off it's fake... On my product it says "This product can be sold only by authorized Chanel retailers". "Only" is used in different places. The "Chanel" lettering at the bottom is not flush with the 100ml. Both "Chanel" fonts are centered. It doesn't say "CHANEL LONDON WIJ.." on the top cover. But everything else is correct and there are no typos. There is also batch code. A perfume produced in 2019. I wonder if there are minor differences in the design? Or am I using a fake Chanel?

I just met a seller who is selling these bleu de chanel for 30 $ and he's telling that it's original tester that is made by companies themselves. stay calm it is an older edition… it is important to have the serial number engraved… the head should have a magnet… and be at the weight as in the video

I was actually hopping that I was given a counterfeit on my birthday. I am so disappointed in this perfume, I really want to like it but after 5 min it smells like the cheapest perfume I have ever smelled, and thankfully after only 30 min I can’t smell anything at all.😒 Thanks for the vid, I can cut my losses now.

@@boczyboczy I bought it ay ULTA and my brother at Macy’s, we both were able to return them and I got me Savage “elixir” and is by far the best cologne I ever had. Funny thing happens yesterday I was at a supermarket yesterday and someone walked by me and unconsciously I thought “ what a cheap perfume”, then I realize he was wearing Bleu… I can’t explain why this perfume sucks for us but my theory is the excessive use of Patchouli as an ingrediente. Sorry man, no batch #.

Had to come here and check. Couldn't find the 'expiry after open' symbol on my box or bottle. Plus the blurry thinner bar code had me suspect. So apparently the real one does have a blurry bar code. 😂😂😂

I have a fake bottle of this, like a fool I was tempted by the discount. Anyway when it arrived I was excited until I smelt it. I had some genuine stuff left over and the difference was so night and day. Mine was so close looking compared to the original. I contacted the seller and told them this was not the genuine article at all, I got a full refund (£71) and was never asked to return the fake. I then purchased the real thing from Chanel, don't mess about just go to a reputable dealer.

Fake shoes or wallet is one thing, fake fragrance on the other hand terrifies me, what if the fake uses some nasty stuff like urine or unsafe chemicals.

You can find good deals, but it's important to have the option for a refund. If it's from eBay then it's not really a big deal when you get a fake (you also get a refund for shipping, so no real loss). But never buy a fragrance in cash on the street or from a CraigsList ad etc. The chance for a fake from places like that are way too high and you have no recourse.

The same thing I've been saying. It may cost a little more but you get authentic stuff, discount houses are great but I just save up a little more and have my peace of mind.
