In today's CAS (create-a-sim) video, I create even MORE fantasy occults in The Sims 4 using your favourite (and least favourite) townies. Yes, CC has been used and yes I'm working on a master list!

Originally the changeling was a mythical figure to explain away cases of odd or deformed children, most likely cases of neurodivergence or people born with disabilities, before people had science to explain it. The Changeling was a fairy baby put in the place of your original baby, who was stolen by the fae. They might have an odd skin color, eye color, or hair color, and very fast growing hair and fingernails. They’d exhibit odd unexplainable behaviors and just be very unnerving. D&D changes it up so Changeling is shorthand for a fae shapeshifter, normally looking like a pale blank slate and morphing to look like anyone they want.

The hair and nail growth thing is a totally random thing for them to have tacked onto an olden-days explanation for autistic children, but I've gotta say... I'm autistic, and now you mention it, my hair and fingernails do seem to grow spitefully fast given how much I fucking hate trimming either. Nail clippers genuinely scare me, and I would almost rather be shot than have a stranger touch my head. So maybe the ignorant, olden-day peasants were onto something.

What I think the Sims needs to add is a 'Fey' occult instead of a fairy. If they did something like that, instead of being stuck with just butterfly winged fairies, we could customize them to our hearts desire. Give us a variety of wings, ears, eyes, hairs and horns, even cloven hooves, so that we could create just about any denizen of the Fey courts that we want and have a lot of fun with it, because nearly all the mythological creatures mentioned in this vid are part of the 'Fey'. Plus it would be cool if they could select one of four elemental powers as well, so you could have an earth nymph who can make plants instantly grow, and a fire sprite who can set things on fire whenever they want. Also if they gave us the option to align with a Seelie (mostly good fey) or Unseelie (mostly bad fey) court, it could just add so much. Imagine a world where all the Sims were always at odds depending on which court they were part of.

Love how you confidently said "If you're not playing DnD, you probably don't know what Changelings are" and all of Europe is just like '???', because Changelings in DnD are based on Changelings from european folklore, where they are elfs/fairies replacing newborn babies to be nurtured and raised by unsuspecting humans 😂

As a slavic fella I would love to see Rusalkas and Vodníks. Rusalkas are undead maidens who dance and sing (often in a circle) in the meadows and forests. They often lure in young handsome men to join them, however they don’t understand people need to rest and eat, so the guy usually dies. Vodník is usually a green guy in a top hat and tux that’s dripping water. The live in lakes, drown people and keep their souls in cups (with a lid). They can be also seen playing music while sitting on a willow. I highly recommend looking both up

I love you to pieces pls understand this is my nerdiness and it needs to come out: Sirens (in Greek mythology) aren't mermaids, they're half-bird Also Changelings outside of DnD are kinda something else, they're human babies swapped for fey-folk -which would be awesome for the sims as well, random occult babies looking for their true parents let's goooo

I think it would be an interesting gameplay challenge to play with a dryad sim who had some of the same traits as plant sims but also couldn’t stray too far from their tree, that would make socializing and money making a bit challenging

Greek mythology sirens used their songs to lure sailors to the rocky shores of their home, where the sailors were drowned and eaten by the monsters. Most likely Scylla and Charybdis the two monsters of the sea in Greek mythology

Okay so, just so yall know... There is a mod that allows you to have succubis, and even if all of the feature the modder wants them to have aren't there yet (for example for now their only magic is to maintain a human like form instead of demon form) they are already very fun to play with, and what I find so cool : when the succubus has "fun" with another sim, they will get a few days younger and their partner a few days older ! It is part of the Nisa's wicked per*ersion that depends on the wicked whims and basemental mods, and has many fun features

The changelings I know are from trollhunters blinky( a character from the show) said they are swapped at birth. And one of the early villans turned good said if they rescue his familiar He will stay in his troll form (like forever) so and the really bad guys (when the show takes place) calls them impures but when they were made by the main evil later on around 500 years before the show takes place they were called changelings.

When I played D&D with my friends and my bf I played a centaur and married my bf's minotaur and since centaur's where a common race there where two types of stables 1) For regular horses 2) For centaurs that had everything a normal inn room would have and fluffy mats to lay on. ❤

Gerosha mythos occults: Anitos, Qalupaliks, Weresalmon, Centhuen Prototypes, Milthuen Prototypes, Parakoids, Petroids, Jackaloids, Lightning Elementals (a bit more powerful than the ZipZap spell from Spellcasters), Phantomimics (can copy some ghost behavior), Ice Elementals, Fire Elementals, Air Runners, Emwaults, Frog-Men, Casteroids (Beaver-Men), Emotion Batteries, to name a few.

I just fought a changeling in my one shot bc someone in our party (he was very aggressive and would attack everyone ever) was like “hey the maid hasn’t done anything in the world to make us specific” and he Eldridge blasted her revealing her true form. Tragic clown is still in sims 4. You have to view the tragic clown painting a lot, eventually he will appear. But you have to do it a lot and your sim will be very sad.
