On the topic of T1 being the Greatest Roster. I think they have a really good argument. They've placed at worst top 3 in every tournament they played and have played in every single one in the last 3 years. 1st - LCK Spring 22 2nd - MSI 22 (3-2 so arguably could've won) 2nd - LCK Summer 22 2nd - World 22 ((3-2 so arguably could've won) 2nd - LCK Spring 23 3rd - MSI 23 2nd - LCK Summer 23 1st - Worlds 23 2nd - LCK Spring 24 3rd - MSI 24 1st - EWC (Not sure if this one is counted) 3rd - LCK Summer 24 Finalist or Winner - Worlds 24 (See you next week, might even win it back-to-back) Side note, we could add 2021 tho it's only 4/5 players as Zeus was only a sub. 2nd - LCK Summer 21 3rd/4th - Worlds 21 Their Final loses and not winning MSI can be a detriment to the argument and like Nyamera said, this is unprecedented but aren't these accolades insane though? Like Any team would die for these kinds of results.

As someone who has watched every LPL game, and watched 80% of LCK games including all T1, GenG, and KDF games, I do not think BLG are favorites against T1. T1 have shown better, cleaner, and more complete victories the entire tournament. BLG have relied on individual outplays the entire tournament, and now they are finally playing against a team who historically has had some of the most mechanical players who’s main struggle has been late game decision making, which is also a major BLG issue. As a BLG fan I am rooting for them, but I am with Keire here. Knight will not gap Faker in lane enough to blow games wide open (If at all). Bin has looked disappointing in teamfights against WBG and later in the HLE series. ON has been a war criminal this tournament. Knight has accumulated stats on inferior midlaners and when faced with strong competition he’s gone spectator mode, not causing a loss but not playing to win. T1 are aura merchants that will find a way to be the first team to go back to back since 2015-16 SKT.

Just 2 days ago the narrative was that GenG is the single best team in the world and is the number 1 contender for the title this year, and T1 would need a historical performance to match them as underdogs. If the year-round best performing team could only take 1 game off them, why is it so far fetched to say that an objectively worse team needs a miracle to beat them? The only argument there is for BLG is that they have had the chance for more practice given that they were in the lower brackets, and so had more time to discover flaws and adjust.

T1 2-0 BLG last year in bo3 in the swiss stage. In MSI 2024 T1 were not playing their best and the drafting was holy shit :/ but they won the blueside games but couldn't win on the red and lost I think if they were playing like they are now T1 would have won because now they're better at lane swaps but then the meta wasn't good for them too but now it's good so many things. But, I believe it just depends on who decides to show up on the day really aura or not.

zeus is performing better than bin at worlds now , and he's peaking again , also zeus championpool is quite unique in this matchup , Yone and gragas for zeus are on the table for T1 and it will give them the edge in this matchup , also keria has an edge over ON , guma is low resource ad he's fine in this situation , knight has to have a huge lead on faker and he should go for lane dominant champs , and xun need to completely ruin the gameplan for T1 with insane ganks.

It’s a weird one. T1 are the only elite level team to have stayed together for as long as they have, and they’ve made 3 worlds finals and an MSI finals in that time which means they’ve kept it together relatively speaking despite meta changes. Most high tier rosters still struggle year to year due to those meta shifts. I did explicitly say they weren’t the highest peak of a team ever but they’re unprecedented in the period of time they’ve stuck together. A good debate to be sure

I'm actually annoyed about the T1 narrative. "Best team of all time" - yes, their worlds are incredible but apart from that? Decent MSI's, good in LCK. Sometimes really garbage tho. A JDG, DK 2020, EDG 2021, G2 2019 etc. would never be garbage. This T1 roster was many times really bad. The other rosters just made changes and didn't stay together. Their worlds performance is INSANE, but they should never be considered the best team of all time and probably not even top 3.
