Maybe a dumb question, whats the point of the top plate? The bolt is held by a seperate piece and it just seems like it makes it harder to reload since you cant see anything.

It allows you to carry it on the belt and looks cool.

@@redanthalas8830 But the hooks are on the lever and theres like a cm or more space between the lever and top plate from what i can see on the pictures. Hmm, maybe if ill buy one ill add some decorative openings in the top plate so you can see better what youre doing.

@@thrifikionor7603 But the crossbow then leans against your leg. If there was no cover, the leg would misalign, or pull out the bolt. The cover is also crucial for guiding the string into the bolt.
