The part when he talks about his opening chant before he performs is literally sooooo on point. Seeing him chant live is something everyone should get a chance to experience.

Yo I love y’all for doing this! I grew up in Micronesia listening to every Fiji song ever made. Never hear him speak his mind and what a beautiful soul. I’m finna get him tatted on me for that. This man is our Pacific island uncle. No matter if you Poly Micro or Melanesian. I was always on some Pan Pacific type shit growing up and I never seen anyone represent the whole pacific like Fiji do and for that I’m gonna get him tatted on me. Love you brotha Fiji!

Beautiful interview, mahalo! I think we have a "vessel" in Iam Tongi who is spreading our island music as he pays homage to all of the original island singers and musicians. Everyone else around the world are only now discovering our island music! Mahalo nui to Fiji for all that he did and continues to do for all of our islands!

Wow. It all makes sense now. Never knew he had Tongan Blood in him but always felt of all the Island's, his love was distant. I would have thought he was Fijian/Samoan. Obviously, there is a sad/disconnect with his Tongan Blood. Hence the Broken family. Still much love for your music.

Fijians are a mixture both. our culture is almost if not as similar to the Tongans. Even the royal family has family links to most of our high Fijian chiefs.
