What a great pick for the beginning of autumn! I know this one had been a frequent request in the Comments sections of your previous Mario Kart videos, and it's awesome to see this fan-favorite get the Player2 treatment! 🍂 This remix is upbeat, cozy, vibrant, and warm all at the same time. I like how you've managed to infuse fresh energy into the piece while keeping the rustic charm of the original intact, and you have a real knack for doing that in general. The instrumentation here is thoughtful, incorporating both familiar and new sounds; for instance, the harmonica(?) at the start sounds so reminiscent of the OG version, but then it transitions into these funky brassy/reedy-sounding synths that make it start to feel like more of a party, especially in tandem with the growing percussion and drums. In terms of arrangement, I really like the melodic deviations and improvised segments you've included here! That section at 1:07 is so slick and it feels perfectly in-theme with the original arrangement. And throughout the whole piece, there are tons of flourishes and embellishments - so many, in fact, that it's hard to keep track of 'em all! 😅 But in the section at 1:43 in particular, I love how each phrase is capped off by some unique and creative response riff - I really can't get enough of it! You really went all-out with that aspect here, and it shows in how detailed and rich the arrangement is! You've got some really groovy and unorthodox rhythms here, as well, and I'm a big fan! The rhythm at 0:04 (and later at 1:02 with a more energetic variation) is _so_ cool, and the buildups flow so seamlessly, helping to bridge all these different rhythms together smoothly. Excellent selection of drum and percussion samples, as well, with crispy claps, a tight kick, and the brushed snare in the aforementioned rhythm. You've made fantastic use of cymbal crashes and swells, alongside noise sweeps and an assortment of detailed drum fills. I know I always say this, but your drum fills and transitions are in a class of their own! The video production here is a delight to watch, with footage featuring both the original MKWii Maple Treeway and its remastered form in MKD8. It's funny to think that Wii graphics seemed like the pinnacle at the time, and now they seem rather unimpressive, next to the Switch's graphic capabilities. And we might be saying the same about the current gen's graphics in 10 years! Granted, graphics are never really an important factor for me, so much as art style is, and when it comes down to it, gameplay is king! But rambling aside, I do like how the scenes transition - and with a variety of effects - to correspond with shifts in the music. That brief desaturation effect at 1:20 was a cool effect that I don't think I've seen before in your videos, but I do love that you've worked in your signature Blue Shell dodge - and that menacing zoom-in on it at 1:37 gave me a good laugh. XD Once again, stellar work, my friend! I'm on my 8th or so listen as I type this, and just like with the mysterious leaf piles in Maple Treeway, there are new things to discover each time through!

Right?! This track just screams the fall season, haha! I've had this track on my radar for quite some time, too, to I'm glad I finally got around to it! I find it fascinating how I somehow managed to create a song that's all those things, thank you for saying so! That was literally my goal of creating a song that's both relaxing, but also can get down to! And you know how much I love doing my best to recreate the original sounds without actually using them, haha. I'll once again bring back the phrase ""instrument chemistry' because that truly makes a difference in the final product - especially one with as many twists as this one! I might've already mentioned this in a previous reply, but I was a drummer back in my elementary school days, so I know how important transitional elements are in a track! Whether it be crashes, swells, sweeps, or the classic drum fill; the _best_ way to keep the listener engaged is having unique transitions at almost every 8-bar interval. The amount of times I listen to each of my songs in separate 8-bar loops to make sure each section hits just right is absolutely shocking 'cause I spend way too much time on mixing...oops 😅 Dude you are TOTALLY right, the Wii _did_ have peak graphics for Mario Kart at the time, but for a game that released in 2008, I'd say it was pretty solid!! And of course I had to throw in my signature blue-shell dodge! When I saw it appear during the canon seciton I couldn't resist not putting in a zoom effect, haha! Wouldn't be as visually pleasing without some epic gameplay footage! 😎 Thank you so much as _always_ with taking time out of your day to write such well-written comments. These make my day to read, and take me almost a few days to finally respond to 😅

Week 13 (i think) of the streak. This has been my favourite track in Wii for a looong time. I don't like how they got rid of the 'jack-off bridge' in the newer versions.
