We need more of this in the world. We just tend to throw shit out now and not bother trying to repair it. There's just something about this process that makes the items feel that much more special having been repaired like this.
I dont speak Japanese but I loved this Video . It was so visually descritpive that I didnt need the language to understand. I was really inspired by the workshop and repairman As a result I fixed a favourite suitcase of mine . well done Im subscribing thanks

+Peter Sweeney the parents were restoring the suitcase from 20 years ago that belonged to their daughter who was a flight attendant. i'm shocked he matched the texture too. Just incredible.

this is very japanese. they have the money but they repair old things. there's soul in old things, and they are not wasteful. americans would be eager to buy a new suitcase. this is also why old aluminium rimowas are so popular amongst japanese people. beautiful!

They repaired it because this suitcase have special memory or occasion ,not for safe money , do not think like this , Japanese high class people
