Note: when you lose lock while an AMRAAM is not yet in its active phase, it will automatically switch on it’s seeker and look towards the target’s last known position to attempt an intercept. Very low probability of kill.

Great explanations of the concepts and technical terms. Very useful cranking technique to reduce relative velocity while continuing to support the missile. Once can also pull up for a "loft shot" to fire early and give your missiles more range and increase the R Opt - you did hint at it briefly when you said "if you're going very fast or at very high altitude relative to bandit" at 9:20

Thanks for putting this up. Really helpful, filled in a lot of blanks for me. Going to need a few watches to get it all!

Hey Lotfi - check the description as all the links are good still I think! The big “Vault” by Tee Square is included in the BMS download in the docs folder as the “threat guide”

Excellent video man. This really helped me sling some AMRAAMS and not get shot. BTW if you don't mind can you plss attach the document that you were showing in the video of MAR.

Hey thanks - look in your Docs / documentation folder that comes with your BMS download - then the 00 BMS manuals folder for the threat guide

Ha, I was going to comment "what's the minimum abort range for? If I'm doing a BARCAP then I can't just run away to the MAR, then they'll just push me off of my area of responsibility". Then I took a second watch, and if I understand right the MAR is way shorter than the commit range or the radius of responsibility. It's not even a BARCAP concept but an active radar missile one - it's how close you can get before you have to worry about return fire, and when using fox threes you want to get as close as you can (and no closer) to get a higher probability of kill.

Note: your FCR *WILL* remember a tracked contact’s last known position for 13 seconds (COAST mode) even when it exits the radar gimbals. Your computer will look for this contact should you turn back towards it.
