I really enjoyed this. I would have loved to hear the calls and sounds made by the youngster, though, as I am sure that they must be important in helping to understand and communicate with the bird.

Is there any danger to Marty while out on this hacking tower? And, sadly, another one who knows not "hacking"...it appears that this gets him used to the outdoors, and I search that he's being fed there, I guess this gets him further removed from human as foot source?

Always some danger like any wild animal at this point . Hacking allows a young bird to attain supreme fitness and skill before formal training even begins

Would you imprint a Harris hawk?

The best hh I know is a hacked a imorint , but to have the knowledge and the skills and the area for this is rare all together . For most people an imprint Harris hawk would turn into one very screamy annoying bird . For most folk I’d say hundred percent go with parent reared

100percent agree with that. They will get tame annyways. I once took one A LITTLE too young and turned into a verry hard screamer, started at 5.30 am in the morning and only stopper when i left home. I tryd verry hard to not associatie me to food bij bringing her to the lure for couple of weeks but as soon as i started training the screaming began

Although I understand imprint, hacking I don’t fully get, I’m sure that it’s to do with being free but will still hunt with the falconer , can you give a brief talk on hacking at some point, it looks an interesting way of keeping a peregrine.

Keep watching hehe! Basically letting the bird fly free as soon as it wants to like in the wild , feeding it on the tower at set times so it comes back for its feed but free ti do what it wants until ready to train , so once ready to train the bird is already super fit and knows how to fly well
