Love this hire. Raheem was the man I wanted for the job all along, and thought he would have been okay staying on after his interim run in 2020.

@redhunnid5142 if that's all you know about him you should learn more. He was a young inexperienced coach that won 7 more games than his first year with a crappy Tampa team. He boosted the play of a mediocre Falcons team during his interim. Listen to his peers and you will know this is a good hire.

He’s not taking this team to no Super Bowl at all I can promise you that dude is a mediocre defensive coordinator that can just get the job done that’s it he’s not great one or a bad coordinator but I know what he’s absolutely terrible at and that’s being a head coach he sucks at it 21-38

I dont think many people understand how elongated the process can be for a coach to build a team in his own direction, even when really good pieces of that direction are already there. It takes time. You have to implement so many things. The coaching staff, salary cap situation, player/coach availabilty, draft capitol, upcoming player contracts, scheme. These are all things that take a lot of time when bringing in a new head coach. I say a head coach should get a 3 year minimum. Thats about as much time to do alot of those things, but thats the long game and you have to play it as a head coach.

@@GeorgiaPride1978 i agree that it can be done quickly, i was just pointing out that theres a possibilty that it cant. You get a new qb in there, they have to get familarity and chemistry established. And that may take some time. Especially if they decide to draft a rookie. The weapons are there for a rookie to have good production but how long will the developement of that player take? I think it depends on the staff. Theres a lot to be hooeful about, im just saying we have to consider the reality of the situation.

I LOVE this hire. I wanted him if we did not go with Harbaugh (Johnson and Slowik were sexier but super unproven as HC). I was not a BB to Falcons guy but I would have embraced whomever they hired. We need wins and I share the same sentient as others, he has two years or enough of the kind of fun football to make me want to see more. He two biggest decisions are coming up. OC and QB. Good luck Rah!

@@redhunnid5142 Yes that is his record. He will look far less attractive to those who will not bother to look into all those games and teams and see that he overperformed relative to the rosters of which he didn't have too much control of.

🙄 how are they going to get in the playoff when they draft some of the worst players in college and bypass the good ones. If Jesus Christ was the head coach, it still wouldn't make any difference for the Falcons.
