You have it all wrong. I think Morris wanted Cousins since the two of them were in Washington together. It appears Fontenot selected Penix as insurance against the very implosion of Cousons we have seen. That makes him smart for exercising the bold move of foresight. He saved the franchise from being held hostage to another aging quarterback.

There may be some true elements in your point, but this guy is wrong and off the mark. The coach nor the GM is in any danger this season. It was made obviously clear to us all last season who is running things. It wasnt Rich McCay or anyone else except the Owner Arthur Blanks, that's who's running the show, thars who wanted Cousins and spend mad money to get him, that's who wanted Penix if he was available and they got him. Cousins epic failure is on Arthur and no one else, and I'm absolutely sure that they didnt get the green light to bench him until after the Raiders game because of the imp,ications on Arthur for pushing the deal and massive amounts of money spent to get him.

He was a long term College Starter and he led his team to the National Championship Title game coming very close to winning. His scouting and combine reports were very good. Yeah, they were high on him, but Arthur Blank made it crystal clear last year after he fires Head Coach Arthur Smith and redirected the Falcons President Rich McCay's duties, that he was running thing. No one hosted or held Press Conference except Arthur Blanks. The GM wasn't event present and you'd expect him to be addressing the Press, not the owner. Blank wanted Cousins and committed to paying what ever it took to get him. He was public on that. I think the GM would have preferred to go with Russell Wilson paired with Penix which made far more sense and was less risky and less costly in terms of money but got you an experienced QB with a record of winning while Penix develops. Arthur Blanks wanted it a different way and that's what they did. Now he also owns this disaster and Cousins failure.

Lets assume that we believe the lie that Terry is really the GM and McKay isn't still running things. Yes, of course he should be fired. He can't draft at all and before anyone says, but Bijan. But London etc. All his 1st round picks have been top 10s and he just took one of the highest rated at the position and he didn't even get the best one available. On top of that Pitts is exactly what his scouting report that the entire world could see, talented but lazy and not worth it. Basically, every other pick has been a bust. Most being horrible. His free agents have been players everyone else said was good or just guys the Bears cut. We need to get the losers like McKay, Terry and Morris out of the building and bring in a winner. Then build an OL and DL worth a damn.

He can only make the obvious pick or choice. He got lucky on a couple, but the majority of drafts and signings from him are garbage. They just wasted 180m on a broken QB that caused us to have to spend a 1st on a backup and now we see why. So 180m and a 1st round pick at one position when we needed to address many. Think what you want, but if I spent 220 million during an off season... I wouldnt have the same record as last year. Needed an EDGE... signed 45 interior defensive lineman and keeps acting like his busts are one season away... every season. Dudes a joke.

Sad part is, Cousins could go to another team and look like an amazing QB! On paper it looks like he would be a great fit for him (good #1 wr, good #2, highest drafted TE, great RB duo) but for some reason it just doesn't work! Falcons fans, I'd curb my enthusiasm. Our O-line has been playing lights in the run game. Unfortunately, they've been equally bad in the passing game. Don't get me wrong, I think Cousins has played very poorly, but it's not all on him. Also, the offensive play calling has been pretty bad. We have two RBs who are game changers. Get them the ball in space in the passing game.

I think fontenot’s future with Atlanta hinges on penix success. His draft history has been very suspect outside of his 1st round picks. If penix flops Fontenot should go IMO. No, I do not agree with the quarterback change this late in the season. The reason why is because Michael has not been taking first team reps all year we're in the middle of a playoff run that we must went out to be even considered to be in a playoff The quarterback position and the wide receiver have to be on the same page. It is no chemistry there for Michael Pence, and the receivers so I think this is a bad coaching decision by all means Raheem need to turn in his resignation. He need to be out of here because you cannot meet this kind of decision in the middle of a playoff run.

What all has Terry hit on besides Bijan & Drake London who’s just now breaking out? Even then, Bijan (as good as he is) didn’t make too much sense when you had a rookie RB rush for 1k, you have an aging DT in Grady, and had a need opposite AJ when Christian Gonzalez was there for the taking. Pitts was a failure, Richie Grant is a dud, & Ridder was hot garbage. Don’t forget this past draft when they traded up for Ruke Orhorhoro who’s 3rd on the depth chart instead of taking Kamari Lassiter & Cooper DeJean who are both impact players for their respective teams. Mind you, Chase was drafted right after Pitts. The bad pick heavily outweigh the good.
