28:40 My high school prom was on a midnight cruise circling the Bay. It was honestly very relaxing. Plus, while I wasn't voted Prom King, I got a full page spread in the yearbook dedicated to how my dancing (both at the prom and in the year prior) had helped keep the party grooving.

My read is more so Falin maybe has feelings, and Marcille is the more oblivious one. Falin seems a bit more adjusted than even Laois, like something zen about her. I think Marcille is too wrapped up in their ages (elf vs tallman) and all that comes with that later, to be fully aware of her feelings.

can the editors maybe change the filter so there’s a window for subtitles that appear at the top of the screen as well? Feels like we miss out on entire conversations sometimes lol… I don’t think that much space at the bottom is necessary so you can add more filter there to be able to remove more from the top

19:31 my first friends that I can remember were at an after school daycare that I went to during third grade. There were a couple people I was friends with, with the two I was closest with being The Twins. And then a 16 year old who looked like he was 30 started attending the daycare (I _think_ it was an attempt to "rehabilitate" him after a stint at juvie? I don't remember) and became an absolute menace of a bully. The caregivers would literally just look the other way in fear as he pushed us kids around. The Twins stopped being my friends and instead became his cronies (aka, they'd push me around for his amusement) because he decided that I was the bane of his existence and therefore needed to be destroyed, all because my name has a "gy" in it (pronounced guy). He liked putting an "a" in the middle of the gy and singing songs about how terrible and ugly I was while The Twins tormented me. Why did he do this? Because his last name sounded like the name given to circular incisions in bathroom stall walls where men give each other anonymous oral exams. In other words, because he was insecure about his name, he punished me for _almost_ having a similar name. I might've had friends in kindergarten or something, but I went to three different elementary schools between kindergarten and third grade (one while living with my mom, one while living with my grandparents after she was declared an unfit parent, and finally the one I went from 3rd through 6th in after my aunt formally adopted me), so I honestly can't remember having friends before The Twins, and I knew them for less than a year.

It took me about 3 episodes to start liking the show. At first, I was made uncomfortable by how the show treated death, and by what seemed like basic animation. I still stayed because it made me curious. But then I realized that death being a hindrance rather than final is part of the worldbuilding and that the animation is actually really good and lively. Add to that the detailed and captivating ecology and I watched the rest as soon as it aired. We had Laios time to discover his extensive monster knowledge, Chillchuck time to show his good lockpicking and riddle-solving skills, now we have Marcille time, with some of the greatest animation in the show. The days when she felt useless are over, now she can be a badass veteran dungeon adventurer. She's so cool!
