What’s the purpose of the lawyer if he looks to the caseworker to provide information regarding his client’s legal matters? Shouldn’t he know such things?

Why would grandparents have to go through a process to get a license to adopt their own grandchild? Especially, since they have cared for their grandchild since the day he was born. CPS is supposed to protect children from child abuse, so putting that aside for a minute, how did we get to the point of regulating a parents rights to allow grandparents to raise their child, when for centuries in many cultures grandparents have done so and many times in same households. Personally, I am wondering which lawmakers and what legislation passed giving cps this kind of power over children to make such decisions-I have noticed cps workers can be biased, and seem to have more power than a judge to decide the best interest of a child; the huge amount of Federal money incentives have created a system of a power grab and to the labeling children with mental health conditions, at a time when they are emotionally vulnerable because of being separated from their family-another way cps gets more federal money. I think the Judge should be seeing the children-talking to the children for himself; in some of these cases the Attorney for the children never even talk to the children either. Praying for all children

The advantage for kinship adoptive homes to get licensed is to receive financial support & health insurance. But if not 100% needed; I would never want the courts/government in my life!
