You all have some of the WORST planning if you can't take out a pokemon with a 4 times weakness when you're ten levels above it. I mean, what ARE you using? A team of Lv. 60 Magikarps? You should be two shotting it at level 60 without a super effective move. But Lv. 75? That's a Red-esque leveled pokemon. You shouldn't be struggling with it, given that you have such powerful pokemon. Even in the rematch, you can body her team with an Ice move to take out her Garchomp.

Let's face it: Not counting Red, no matter how seasoned of a trainer we are, Cynthia's always been our toughest challenge. We plough through the Elite Four of every region and then destroy their champion. Sinnoh's the lone exception. We crush the Elite Four and then get crushed. Who agrees?

Lance was the hardest one I've challenged so far, with those bullshit dragonites -_-. Cynthia wasn't just tough to beat though. Her battle was satisfying in a way. To overcome such a tough opponent even if just barely, shows how far you've come.

@@marcelovieira519 1: Platinum Cynthia is arguably easier (not by much mind you) than diamond/pearl's cynthia since, while togekiss is harder to deal with than Gastrodon, her pokemon are also dropped a few levels compared to diamond. 2: You know her Milotic, Lucario, Garchomp, and Spiritomb? yeah, all three of those are in her D/P/PT battle. and those three are cynthia's most dangerous there. though they are somewhat lower leveled there, she's also andatory to fight for story progression because champion and not a bonus fight. B2W2's cynthia is bit more accurate to her Platinum appearence (outside of the still upscaled level), except for glaceon

Garchomp Infernape: Also counters Lucario And there is also her Spiritomb, that I'll use my whole team to destroy. So, I don't think I'll suffer that much

When i first fought her this is all i remember. Garchomp: uses sword dance Garchomp: uses dragon rush x6 Spirit tomb was annoying to deal with a first since it could regen and she was trying to wall us with it. But it took me like 6 tries and that was cause garchomp had missed the dragon rush.

When It came to Diamond and Pearl I grinded Victory road till all possible wild pokemon were gone. Then it finally came to her end. A few weeks later I find out platinum is coming out. I was in my fetal position once again, But in the end it was a 1v1 her garchomp against my gallade both me with 6hp and her just outside of the red I was out of full restores and has 2pp left on my ice punch. It was a task of who was faster... have a guess how it went.

Funnily enough, my brother beat the entire Elite 4 with his lvl 72 Infernape, on hindsight after playing some competitive, he had a very good build accidentally, but had very bad IVs, and he also did have a Life Orb, which helped TONS

Cynthia is the only champion I dread going back to fight in this series. She has the most type coverage of any champion, for definite. It seems like she literally has a counter for everything in the game. A great remix for a great champion.

Why does everyone say Garchomp is the hard part? I fought Cynthia in Diamond with a lvl 58 team and he went down in 1 hit like the wimp he is, it's her Milotic and Lucario that gave me hell
