Came back to this video after watching the bloom into you anime & getting the manga. It really was one of the best shows of that anime season & just a fantastic anime as a whole

As a reader of the Goblin Slayer manga...... the first chapter was mainly shock factor. The show eventually settles with a permanent cast of characters full of comedic banter and the like, with the sinister bits staying to their own respective chapters. However, one thing I did 'like', about Goblin Slayer is the fact that it always kept me worried for said cast of characters. I think about half of the manga is pretty light hearted while the other half is the sheer horror plus extreme tension. A part of you expects them to win while another part reminds you that Goblin Slayer is still just a dude who carries around standard issue equipment. He doesn't have some secret power or holy sword. And they had a few close calls. VERY CLOSE calls.

Hart Cauchy While it won’t be as intense as the first chapter, it’s happens periodically every now and then. Strictly with one shot characters who are almost never named. However, it’s hard to say how far they would go. In the manga, the first chapter was much more brutal simply because the writer puts in the effort to summarize each character’s backstory before their demise/rape. He doesn’t do this again but as of chapter 29, there was one brief rape scene, two in the form of brief flashbacks and one only featuring silhouettes. This however, only accounts for cases of where rape was shown on screen. Aside from a few ‘dungeon’ scenes, there is also the infamous meat shield scene which can be equally disturbing.

I'm still surprised that somehow planets aligned to have 3 original anime by 3 big studios in the same season (irozuku, SSSS gridman and zombieland saga). That alone is enough to convince anyone that this season is overwhelming

@Aung ZeyaPA is older than trigger and both kickstarted their careers with highly successful original works (Angel Beats and Kill la Kill). Not to mention all of the outside work PA works does for other anime studios (wich also includes trigger's own little witch academia OVA). Just because trigger appeals more to the action sakuga nerds doesn't mean they aren't big. As for mappa, they still have an amazing backlog of moderately successful shows despite being only as old as trigger. I'd still trust their work over the upredictable mess that's A1 any day.
