So the rules didn't apply to all the other teams in the country that adversely impacted STs? Are the rules more onerous now than in decades past? I simply don't recall so many basic ST mishaps. So were we the only team in the country that was following the rules, and that's why we can't count to 11? Honestly, this sounds like a BS excuse.

Accountability with the guys, geez what a great idea!!! Except that is how it was forever. Whatever happened to make this a new thing again. Running extra sprints in baseball because#13 screwed up. We The players handled it back in the day

I think we lost that for a few years. Remember the cleat throwing against LSU... I know you do if you're a true blood 🐊. We're getting back to it though. Mertz is a strong leader and a very hard worker. And we have a LIVELY group of young sophomores and freshmen that are bringing back the energy we had when Spikes, Pouncey (x2), Haden, Rainey, Demps, Cunningham, TEBOW.. were wearing the orange and blue. I think Lagway has the grit and integrity to be *Elite. We're on the cusp of becoming an amazing team, and I'm glad to be alive to witness it. LFG.

Don’t have any inside info but I had heard a while back that he was likely headed for medical retirement bc of that injury. I pray that’s not the case think he’s such a talented dude but that injury was pretty critical

@eliyawahamashi8310 "veteran".. meaning we shouldn't be starting any freshman? .. hate to break it to you, but we're starting several freshman again this year. So, be patient. It takes time to rebuild a broken program from the ground up. Expecting to win now is like a patient who has experienced a heart attack expecting to run (and win) a marathon in the same time frame. Like everything in life, healing and strengthening takes time.
