New subbie here. Oh my this piece is totally transformed. I seriously LOVE the wallpaper. My daughter would love that in her bedroom. Well done on all the new things you learned. Still have to use resin myself. I'm making skull handles with resin (hopefully) for a dresser I got for my daughter's room. Well done.
@CopperCactusDIY3 жыл бұрын
Yesss! I was intimidated by resin for so long but now I'm wondering why. It's a lot less scary than I expected. (I used a slower curing kind which helped.) Those handles sound exceptionally cool and edgy, you can do it! Thank you so much! 🥰🖤☠

I’m in Tucson, and my biggest challenge is working with paint drying almost too fast. So glad you shared that on this video. Great job! I really LOVE that paper! And your resin molds turned out awesome. So glad I found your channel. 😁👍🏻
@CopperCactusDIY3 жыл бұрын
Ugh, yes! Isn't it crazy here just how fast you have to be to paint something? I never knew dry until moving out here years ago! Chalk paint is the toughest I've found so far. You? I'm still trying to find more uses for that paper, sooo spooky and pretty! Thank you so much, that means a lot and I'm happy to meet you 😊
@michellepeters65323 жыл бұрын
@@CopperCactusDIY I’m happy to meet you too! And my first piece was with Rustoleum chalk paint. It was a nightmare! I wasn’t sure what I was doing wrong. It was charcoal. And it was drying so fast and streaky. Finally after painting and sanding and painting and sanding I finally rolled on with a roller. I got much better results with that, but still a bit splotchy. And went through an entire can of paint for one piece! Ugh! But I decided to keep that piece and I’m good with it. Lol!
@CopperCactusDIY3 жыл бұрын
@@michellepeters6532 oh yeah, great paint coverage but definitely one of the fastest drying. At least it was on your own piece, not a client piece! I haven't found a slow-drying paint yet. I've used extenders in the past (doing faux on walls) but not sure how it would behave on furniture so I haven't tried yet. Hmm, maybe the next thrift piece...

Another variation would be to lower the shelf and reinstalling the bottom drawer. Nice work.
@CopperCactusDIY3 жыл бұрын
True. I considered leaving any number of the drawers but, in this case, they were in terrible shape and didn't match the rest of the vision. Still able to reclaim all that hardware though! Thanks!

@elegantupgrades3 жыл бұрын
Ah yes, the tools are addicting. Better than shoes I say. And girl! Get a circular saw!!! They really do come in handy sometimes. Jigsaws are a great entry saw to start with, but when you are feeling brave- the circular saw makes the cuts quick. You got this!
