I just love your sense of style , Yulia ! I am also in zone 6 (Ohio) and try to find plants that will work , Winter over in a Pot and still look good. I have an Ivy that is in a pot on the front porch ...not sure what kind it is, but the leaves turn a lovely Red and just flows and cascades over the edges of the Pot and even in very cold weather it hangs on year after year ! I love how you added the Pumpkins..and YES , I understand your being proud of growing them . ! With me , its hit or miss. I planted Pumpkin seeds in July and nothing. I was so sad thinking nothing would happen. But in late August , I started to see Leaves . I now have one HUGE White Pumpkin and maybe 4 small ones. I am leaving them in the ground as long as possible . I carved in and bought a few Tiger Striped Pumpkins at the store for decorating out front . Thank you Yulia for your hard work and inspiration !!!

I bought a couple of wood asters online last year based on some of your old videos. It's similar to a native one we have growing here, but has larger leaves. Love it. I also went to the very back of our property (a wilder area) an dug out a whole bunch of our native asters to group together in my borders. Love them too. Thanks for the inspo!!

Wonderful composition! I have a question, would you plant Big Blue stem in the ground? I read that it can take over and is hard to control, whereas Little Blue stem is very well controlled. Do you have any experience with it that way? It looks so good in your pot. I love the rich colour.

I love this arrangement! I bought white Gaura this year. My pink Gaura came back from last year to my delight. How will you overwinter your white Gaura? I'm in SW Michigan very near the southern tip of Lake Michigan. Zone 6a.

Beautiful! I love the height of it. How long can it stay in the pot?
@greatgardensforall4 жыл бұрын
It can stay for a few years until it will get too wide for it. Then you can plant in landscape. I will probably plant in landscape in the spring when I change up the plants in the pot for spring combo 😊

Beautiful.... I like gaura but mine always died, last year I bought ten plants from proven winners and all of them died one by one, they were getting dry crispy and ugly last week I removed the last plant. But I see you have gaura's and they look healthy full of flowers... My question is how often do you water your gaura? Mines were on drip irrigation three times a week 1/2 galon of water per hour, and if it was raining I wait three days to turn on my drip irrigation again... Thank you..
@greatgardensforall4 жыл бұрын
I never water mine because we get regular rain during summer. Gaura is very drought tolerant and developed a long taproot. They like really good drainage and will rot if overwatered. Maybe that’s what happened to yours 🤔
@bellamin54814 жыл бұрын
@@greatgardensforall Thank you. I believe that's what happened I over water them. Also my soil is clay terrible it's looked dry on the surface but wet inside, I added compost in the hole everytime I planted a gaura did not help, probably I have to remove all the soil and add compost to the entire garden bed and stop watering those plants. Thank you.
@monawolfe4 жыл бұрын
So why won’t Gaura survive, if yr zone 6 and it’s hardy to 5 , I thought one zone lower should be ok in containers? I’m in 5b will they survive in ground or do they need protection?
@greatgardensforall4 жыл бұрын
In my experience it is two or more zones lower. I tried one zone lower and the plants won’t make it. 😊☺️
