These are the videos I watched. Watching jig and fish reaction can teach me more than just watching someone bring them over the rail. Thanks for sharing this content

Your videos are hard to beat! The quality and narration are excellent. I have a request that I hope you’ll consider - - Find a spot with shallow water (

Thanks so much for watching! So. for those days when the water is cloudy or filled with algae I'll share the best trick I've found - move to another part of the lake or bayou. Now, if you had no choice but to fish in super-cloudy water the first thing I'd do is try to tweak gain and the color limits so that only the biggest marks showed up. Then I'd probably turn on the trails feature to try to make those marks leave trails to better see them because if the settings are right they'll look small and faint on the screen at that point. *It's getting colder so I won't be able to find that dirty of water for a while but in June/July the shallow water of Darbonne gets that way and if you remind me next year I will take a 30 min detour to show that on the screen.....if what I'm thinking actually works haha

@@HighQualityFishingVideos the video should help. I’ll set a reminder to get back with you then. Never thought about algae, but that most probable has lot to do with screen clutter. Thanks for all you do to help us.

Great videos. My only suggestion would be that if possible, make sure the range and depth scale numbers show on the screen in the video. I find it useful to know what range and depth the fish is, for learning what is realistic. Thanks.

Can you go over how you decide on a spot to fish and why you think crappie would be there?
@HighQualityFishingVideos
@HighQualityFishingVideos 10 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for watching and for the question! I am actually getting ready to go fishing and record on my helm sonar to show how I find spots and decide on places to fish. I'll also show the research I do before I go out on the water, looking at depth maps to get a loose plan before I even get to the ramp. I'll try to show what "good spots" would look like on chirp, down-scan, and side-scan so that folks with any kind of unit could follow along. *It will likely be a long while before I have that video ready due to the editing time. But if you have any specific question about your body of water feel free to comment with what type of sonar you've got and the name/area of water you fish and I might be able to help with how I would plan a day of fishing there to find crappie.

Great videos keep them coming. I was curious what type of handle extenstion did you add to your summit livescope pole? Thanks
@HighQualityFishingVideos
@HighQualityFishingVideos 10 ай бұрын
Thanks so much! What I did for the handle to make it extendable was bought an extendable teacher's pointer. Then I took two small hose clamps and clamped the last two sections of the pointer onto the top of the summit handle so I can extend it out when I need more reach. I show that handle here in my old setup video. A few things have changed since this video but most of it is the same: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWiucp-wpMuDeMU
